Premiere: Georgia VanNewkirk’s Latest Single “Hot Pink Heartbreak”

Georgia VanNewkirk is celebrating the most romantic day of the year by bringing her listeners’ a song about an unattainable woman. “Hot Pink Heartbreak” is VanNewkirk’s third single overall but it is her first release of 2020.

Her debut single “Wish You Well” is seemingly a break-up song, while “Hot Pink Heartbreak” focuses on a fierce woman. The track reminds us of Daryl Hall and John Oates’ “Maneater” but eclectic and whimsical. While the lyrics state that this woman is “your favorite mistake” the upbeat manner of the tune makes it seem like this isn’t something most people would mind — at least for a time.

Following in her mother’s costume designing footsteps, Georgia VanNewkirk was a costume assistant on Tate Taylor’s most recent film, “Breaking News in Yuba County” starring Mila Kunis and Allison Janney. But above all, Georgia’s focus is on her music. She values the power that music has to help process her emotions and empathetic worldview. Released in early 2019, her single “Wish You Well,” garnered immediate attention on Spotify with over 184k streams, which resulted in a contract from the bicoastal production company Morning Moon Productions. Currently, Georgia is at work recording new material with award-winning production team The Moon Brothers.
