Latin music icon Marc Anthony took center stage Saturday night in Newark, New Jersey’s entertainment capital, the Prudential Center for a Valentine’s Day after performance off his multinational Opus Tour making it yet another consistent sold-out extravaganza.

It comes as no surprise since New Jersey is the neighbor of his hometown, the city that never sleeps, New York.  No matter how many times this universal artista; Spanish reference for the artist; visits, the amorous rapport of his fans is felt every time turning the arena into an all-out dance party with his fiery contagious aura.

Marc’s musical talents developed early on at a young age while starting as a back-up vocalist on many New York Freestyle and House music scenes including the trendy group “Latin Rascals”.  Continuing his newfound craft, he recorded vocals for top Spanish boy band “Menudo” and in 1988, released his first single “Rebel”.  Several years later, Marc opened for none other than “El Maestro” Tito Puente at New York’s Madison Square Garden where he found his true niche, salsa music.  Releasing his first Spanish album “Otra Nota” in 1993 made Marc a huge success branding him a remarkable entertainer.

Performing his countless hits “Valio la pena”, “Y hubo al alguien” and the passionate ballad “Hasta ayer” with his guitarist making love to the string of notes, the crowd at the Prudential burst in a harmonious uproar creating a sensational captivating vibe.  The artistry of finesse and flare Marc Anthony possesses is extraordinary and undeniably astounding.  The Opus Tour is an impeccable fitting title for this amazing showcase.

If you’ve never experienced a Marc Anthony concert, I promise you it will be one you will never forget.  Next scheduled tour dates are: Friday, February 21st-Spectrum Center, Charlotte, NC, Saturday, February 22nd-Capital One Arena, Washington, DC, Friday, February 28th-American Airlines Center, Dallas, TX and Sunday, March 1st-H-E-B Center at Cedar Park, Cedar Park, TX.
