Grammy Winner Elijah Blake Drops “Frenemies”

We all have them. The sneaky. The conniving. The ones you love to hate and hate to love. The frenemy. Not to get too Aladdin on you, but its a ‘tale as old as time.” Be careful who you trust as those closest to you will be the ones to hurt you the most. And no one is better to tackle the subject than the two-time Grammy award-winning singer/songwriter and performer Elijah Blake. After all, in most industry circles, he’s widely regarded as the pioneering creator of the modern Alt/R&B sound. Having penned several chart-topping history making hits such as Usher’s No. 1 smash “Climax,” Elijah has been making a ton of noise for awhile now as a hitmaker. He’s behind countless smash records for the likes of Mary J. Blige, Beyonce, Rihanna, Jennifer Hudson, Trey Songz, Keyshia Cole, Ciara, Alicia Keys, Britney Spears, Kelly Rowland, Nas, Justin Bieber, Common, J. Cole, No I.D., The Game, Rick Ross, Dej Loaf, and many more. But for the past few years, fans have begun to discover Elijah as not just the man behind the board but a truly gifted singer and performer in his own right.

In 2018, he recently an EP and quickly followed that with a joint project, 1990 Forever, with Jordin Sparks. “Frenemies” is the first song from his upcoming album due out later this year.
