Congo-born, Toronto-raised rapper Keynes Woods comes through with project awaited by many, a 5-track salute to his alter ego ‘Kongo Kane’.

With an array of incredible releases in the build-up to the EP under his belt such as ‘Spiritual Healing’, a cathartic and haunting song about the relief money can give and ‘Tim Burt’ a hard-hitting shout out to all the homies in the music biz, Keynes has been firmly cementing his place in this industry for a while. Although his music isn’t the only talking point that makes this artist extraordinary; between being an ex-athlete and ball-player, growing up in vibrant fishing city of Kinshasa, migrating to Ontario and now his fast-track to success, this artist has quite the backstory.

Often described as fiery and aggressive yet smooth and laced with honesty, Keynes uses alternative hip hop sounds and his love for romantic R&B and jazz to deliver music with just that extra tenderness and confidence. Entirely produced by Channing “Rekkzone” Anderson, it has eclectic and progressive instrumentals along with drums that are bigger than life, both serving as the bedrock for Keynes’ buttery yet confident bars. ‘Kongo Kane’ shows growth, consistency and a complete richness in texture while diving into important subject matters with satire as an underpin.
