Meet Njoza, Singer, Rapper, Producer and Songwriter

Njoza released a single recently title “If Only ft Reah Rose & Franklin” and it is out on all digital platforms! The song tells a tale of a man reminiscing about what was in the relationship they had and what would’ve possibly happened if they stayed together.

Njoza is currently signed to Tru-Steez Records, an independent record label based in Johannesburg South Africa and working on his first full-length EP/Album.

From the outside looking in, who is Njoza?

‘Njoza ke problem’ Njoza is producer/song writer/rapper. I’m a mix between an introvert and extrovert, which I think also translates in my music.

What brought you to the entertainment industry, music specifically?

We were at a homie’s crib house playing video games, my boy told us that he wanted to show us something on the pc. He whipped put FL Studio 3 and i was hooked like crack addict from that moment onwards. The idea of making beats on a PC was just mind blowing for me at that time, because we always use to see expensive equipment on tv.

What do you want people to get from your music?

Authenticity, to tell stories through my own experiences and hoping people can relate to it sometimes music can get people out of a dark space and that’s the beauty and power music, it can inspire, empower or heal

For new listeners, what song of yours would you pick as an introduction to you as an artist?

I would pick ‘If only because I think most nikkas have gone through that phase where a shawty you thought was a rider, plays you. The most important thing after taking an L like that is to not dwell on it, not to hold a grudge, not to hold any hate or anger. You gotta approach it as the universe protecting you from the BS and directing you to your true destiny

Tell us a bit about your work and passions OUTSIDE of music…

I am passionate about fashion clothing to be specific. Clothes are an extension of your personality.

Last but not least, HYPE wants to know…What’s your CRAZIEST “Where they do that at?!” aka WTF?! moment…

I once made a song and asked this other cat to jump on the 2nd verse. We were performing at the same show but different sets. He jumped on stage performed the song and said it was his…. I was like WTF
