Red Bull Records Signs Emerging Singer / Rapper / Producer Kofi
Red Bull Records has announced singer/rapper/producer, Kofi, as the latest artist to join the label’s dynamic and growing roster. To coincide with the announcement, the 22-year-old Toronto native released the fiery track “F.A.Y.”, where he sings about moving on from an ex over an infectious trap beat. “F.A.Y.” is the first single off Kofi’s forthcoming Red Bull Records debut EP, The Story of My Life.
“An immensely talented rapper, singer and producer, Kofi is an exciting new addition to our roster,” says Managing Director of Red Bull Records, Greg Hammer. “With an uncompromising sound and ambitious drive, Kofi’s unique blend of hip-hop and R&B have allowed him to build his own lane as an artist. We’re thrilled to be a part of the journey, helping Kofi to reach new heights of success.”
Senior VP of A&R, Kenny Salcido says, “the A&R team and I could not be more thrilled to welcome Kofi to the growing Red Bull Records roster.”
“After releasing music on my own the past few years, I’m excited to have the support of Red Bull Records and work with the team to release some incredible music,” says Kofi. “I’m really looking forward to the fans hearing my upcoming EP because it’s such a personal project that lets people into my world.”
Prior to signing with Red Bull Records, Kofi released music independently via his own Jvngle Music Group imprint, including fan favorites “Came Up” and “Wake Up”. Kofi’s The Story of My Life EP is due out later this year. In addition to producing half of the autobiographical project, Kofi wrote, mixed and mastered the entire EP himself.
