Vagabond Artist, Black Pool, Gives Us What We Need In Sophomore EP, Just Love

Black Pool, the moniker of Max Lindberg harnesses the energy of a 1970’s flower child in that he simply just wants people to be happy, to enjoy the one life they have to live. Basically, he is delivering the “everything is going to be fiiiine” energy that we all need right now.

With over 15M Spotify streams to his unsigned nameBlack Pool’s quirky love songs deliver a universal message that easily connects. His sophomore EP, Just Love, couldn’t have came at a better time. The 8-track release including singles, “Olive Juice” and “Be Yourself,” immediately transport you to a vacant beach where the rules are made up and points don’t matter.

A personal favorite off of Just Love would have to be the fifth track, “Hold On.” The blissful beginnings of a lone harmonica juxtaposed with the swaying melodies and Black Pool’s silky vocals bring you to a place of hope and serenity. Listening to Just Love from beginning to end simply eased my mind, made me feel like everything is really going to be okay. At the end of the day, Just Love is the escape I didn’t know I needed.
Lindberg moved to Nicaragua where he spent his days playing music in his tiny wood shack on the beach and performing at local bars. It was here, where he found his true calling for music. On his return to the States, Black Pool was born and has been independently releasing bedroom pop indie rock songs ever since reaching over 203K monthly Spotify listeners with over 15M streams.
