Anna Cordell – Tried So Hard

Anna Cordell is an alt-folk artist and fashion designer from Melbourne, Australia. Today we are sharing the music video for Tried so Hard and diving a little bit into what’s incorporated in the video.

Tried so hard, directed by Natalie Van Den Dungen  and filmed by cinematographer Simon J Walsh was imagined as a family portrait in video form.

The video includes Anna Cordell’s 5 daughters, her mother and her Grandmother- 4 generations of women.

Natalie wanted to capture these women at all ages and stages of life, incorporating designs by Cordell (Who is also a bespoke clothing designer)

The Video and props were also inspired by classic film, ‘The Colour of Pomegranates’ Anna was particularly drawn to this because of her Persian heritage.

Quinn Delany- Veldhuis worked on the set and AD and Marda Label collaborated on the clothing designs.

Tried so hard currently stands at 12,000 views, keep up with Anna by following the links below
