Haylie Duff On Life During COVID-19, Working With HP On Home-Based Educational Tools & More
An actress, singer, designer, entrepreneur and mother, Haylie Duff has been keeping busy as an entertainment professional since the late 1990s. She created a food blog called The Real Girl’s Kitchen in the early 2010s, which led to a cookbook and Cooking Channel TV series of the same name. This in turn led to Duff starring in a separate Cooking Channel series called Haylie’s America in which she explored everything from trendy hot spots to not-yet-discovered local mom & pop shops.
A recent Gallup poll found that 42 percent of parents are concerned about the negative impact sheltering in place will have on their children’s education. And Google Search trends shows there has been a 160 percent increase of interest in free printable activities for kids since the start of the pandemic. Parents are obviously scrambling and need all the support they can get. Fortunately, parents are getting a big lifeline via HP, which partnered with Education.com, TIME For Kids, Canva, and KiwiCo to launch a free online resource full of fun and engaging activities to support families who have transitioned to remote learning as a result of the current COVID-19 pandemic.
As embedded below in video form, I spoke with Haylie Duff on April 24, 2020 by phone about her work with HP, life during the current COVID-19 pandemic, future projects and more. Duff can be followed online via visiting www.instagram.com/haylieduff and/or www.littlemoonsociety.com.
