Hidden Beach Recordings Signs New Artist – Singer & Songwriter Gene Noble

After a lengthy hiatus in the new artist business, the R&B/Soul, Jazz and Alternative label, Hidden Beach Recordings marked their return to announce their newest singer and songwriter, Gene Noble and his memorable and timely track, “Too Many Lost” which is accompanied by a heart-felt music video. The powerful video was inspired by these trying times we’re facing around the world as a result of COVID-19. The New York native pays tribute to his mentor, Bishop David Gates, who did n0t pass from COVID-19 but with Gene announcing his first debut as a signed artist and timing of passing, it was necessary to show gratitude to a role model of his. The video is also meant to bring awareness and give thanks to people in the frontline, not with just the virus, but also essential workers that are constantly risking their lives. Showing appreciation to these people hits home for the R&B artist because as a child, his father was killed in a line of duty while serving his country. It’s fitting that this project was written to call out the nation’s injustices and the overwhelming loss of people in the frontlines. The visuals were shot on the unusually empty streets of Atlanta, GA on a recent Sunday afternoon. The video was captured directly from Gene’s iPhone and is meant to educate and bring awareness to our communities about this pandemic; which, Gene has identified as parallel to his experiences as a Black man in society. He often uses metaphors in his lyrics, “But you got guns and they’re pointed at my sons,” can be referenced to the lack of resources and preparation is what’s killing people in our country due to the current pandemic, especially the effects it’s having on the impoverished and minority communities. The R&B centric single “Too Many Lost” produced by the multi-instrumentalist, Gorden Campbell, is the first track off Gene’s forthcoming Hidden Beach debut EP.
