Slack’s Christina Janzer On Effectively Working From Home, Benefits Of Using Slack & More

Due to the current COVID-19 outbreak, employees all over the world have been faced with the sudden demands of working from home. This is the new reality for many Americans, navigating the “working from home” lifestyle and trying to stay on-task as their “real” life intrudes at every turn. And more than that, WFH is a new and largely-unprecedented frontier for most Americans. From having your dog bark during a conference call, to turning your kitchen table into your work desk, to becoming your own IT department to being crammed in one place with no real outlet for escape. Altogether it’s a new learning curve and so many of us are still trying to catch up and find some normalcy in the process.

Christina Janzer, the Head Of User Research for Slack, spoke with me by phone on April 2, 2020 — audio of which embedded below — and offered some work-from-home tips that will help you stay on-task, hopefully without going stir-crazy, and how to set up workspace environment that will work for you. More on Slack can be found online by visiting its official website at www.slack.com.
