Joro – ‘Matador’

Here’s a brand new single from the 9-piece London based collective Joro Afrobeat, who blend jazz, afrobeat and soulful vibes in their new single ‘Matador’, which was written as a protest song. It represents a reaction to the Grenfell Tower fire incident in 2017, which resulted in the loss of 72 lives in their home city.

The deep set groove on Matador takes listeners on a journey of tension. which arrives at an explosive climax: Adrenaline fuelled horn lines and heavy dub step reverberations all come together to tell their story. ‘Justice for Grenfell!’
