UK Rapper Br3nya Returns With New Single + DIY Home Video for ‘Plenty’

One of the hottest names in UK rap, Br3nya returns with ‘Plenty’ – her first new music of 2020. Over a siren-like beat produced by frequent collaborator C.Biggz; the charismatic Br3nya delivers bold, enrapturing bars with clever quips running from verse to verse. As one of the capital’s most sought-after female MCs, Br3nya’s new music packs a punch showcasing her undeniable flow this time over a beat that embodies true British grit. The ‘Plenty’ ‘home video’ provides a window into life in lockdown with Br3nya. It captures the rapper’s daily exploits: soaking up the sun in the garden, drinks with her family and dance offs with her sisters.

‘Plenty’ will mark Br3nya’s first release of 2020 and follows a 2019 that saw her open Stormzy’s groundbreaking #MERKY Festival, perform a debut headline show that featured special guests Darkoo, Alicai Harley and Dolapo alongside releasing a steady stream of singles that continue to delight her loyal fans across the UK and beyond.

Growing up in West London and of Ghanaian heritage, UK rapper Br3nya has channeled her influences, environment and cultural heritage into her music. Her lyrical ability and confident, clever delivery standing her apart from her peers; Br3nya’s releases ‘Good Food’, ‘Like Me’, ‘Double Dutch’ and ‘Sis’ have already seen the rapper build up a cult following.

Having collaborated with the likes of Darkoo, Alicai Harley, Amelia Monet, Hamzaa and Ms Banks – Br3nya always holds her own on a record. With props coming from The FADER, GRM Daily, BBC Radio 1, Complex UK, Capital Xtra, TRENCH, Red Bull and BBC Radio 1Xtra naming her in their Hot for 2020 list – this year has Br3nya’s name written all over it.
