YUNGBLUD On Launching “The Yungblud Show,” His New Single “Weird!”, The Next Album & More

Since exploding onto the scene with his 2018 debut album 21st Century Liability, YUNGBLUD has traveled the globe and brought his rebel-minded hip-hop infused rock-and-roll to an ever-growing legion of fans. In the midst of his nonstop touring, the London-based artist has built a one-of-a-kind bond with his audience. “11 Minutes,” “I Think I’m Okay,” “I Love You, Will You Marry Me,” “Tongue Tied” and “Original Me” are among his global hits, while the 2019 NME Awards notably brought him nominations for “Best Music Video,” “Best British Solo Act,” “Best Solo Act In The World” and “Best Collaboration”; he took home the “Best Music Video” Award for “Original Me.”

The multi-instrumentalist has not slowed down one bit amidst the current COVID-19 pandemic. Beyond launching a new single called “Weird!” last week, he started his own YouTube series called The Yungblud Show. In addition to featuring intimate at-home performances from YUNGBLUD himself, the show has featured appearances from friends and collaborators, including Travis Barker, Machine Gun Kelly and 24kGoldn. A passionate performer who thrives on connecting with his audience, YUNGBLUD conceived of The Yungblud Show as a way to stay creative and connected with his fans.

I had the absolute pleasure — and I do mean “absolute pleasure” — of speaking with YUNGBLUD via video-chat on April 28, 2020. We talked about his past, present and future success, and that full interview is embedded below for your viewing pleasure. More on YUNGBLUD can be found online at www.yungbludofficial.com, www.facebook.com/yungblud and www.instagram.com/yungblud.
