Rising UK Drill artist and OFB member BandoKay drops fierce new track ‘Patient’

Arguably the hottest drill rapper in the UK, BandoKay makes a return to Mixtape Madness with his brand new track titled ‘Patient’.

Hailing from Broadwater Farm in Tottenham, BandoKay has had a very strong past year in music seeing his debut project enter the UK Charts in the top 40 and featuring on a string of chart entering singles. Having built a strong core fan base with over 340,000 followers on Instagram alone and gaining millions of views across Youtube, The Guardian also highlighted his respected talent in a lengthy article who referred to OFB as soaring to stardom.

BandoKay has put forth a fierce drill track for his fans to enjoy, ’Patient’ is punctuated by a pungent swinging baseline, the tinkling of tinny snares, woven in with a haunting synth. Produced by M1onthebeat, known for his work with AJ Tracey, Headie One and Digga D, BandoKay distinguishes himself with his brooding barks and ridged staccato flow, comprised of menacing road recitals.

The visual for the track is directed by Suave who’s also arguably one of the most sought after directors in Urban Music.

Background

Hailing from one of the most notorious estates in the UK; Broadwater Farm in North London. BandoKay is 1/3 of the OFB crew (Original Farm Boys). OFB are one of the most talked about drill acts as off recent years – thanks to their raw, aggressive style, commanding presence and unforgiving wordsmith.

The trio are responsible for smash hits such as ‘OT Boppin’ with 4 million streams on Spotify, iLL BLU’s ‘Magic’ and ‘Once In A While’ featuring Headie One (an artist who BandoKay cites as a major influence) which has 5.6 million Spotify streams alone. These tracks have become some of the most recognisable drill anthems over the past two years, which saw them garner millions of views over DSP’s and collaborating with the likes of Manchester’s Mastermind, Abra Cadabra, Yxng Bane and support from major tastemakers including, Kenny Allstar, Tim Westwood, BBC 1Xtra, Capital Xtra

The 19-year-old is working hard to use his real-life street tales and growing media presence to rewrite the negative portrayal of youth on the roads and empower his peers.
