Skylar Grey Covers Travis Scott’s Hit “Goosebumps” and Recreates His Iconic Images

Skylar Grey releases her sleek cover of Travis Scott’s hit “goosebumps.” To celebrate the release of this single, Skylar has launched a photo gallery she calls, LOOK MOM I’M TRAVIS SCOTT, titled in honor of Travis Scott’s documentary LOOK MOM I CAN FLY. The Gallery includes her very own recreations of some of Travis Scott’s most iconic album art and magazine covers. See the gallery HERE. “goosebumps” follows Skylar’s introspective late night jam “Dark Thoughts”, which hears her “fearlessly entering new sonic territory” (Hot New Hip Hop). All of her latest music and corresponding content including the edgy and perverse “Dark Thoughts” music video, have been self produced from quarantine.

A longtime collaborator with Eminem, Skylar is responsible for co-writing and performing on some of the biggest Hip Hop and pop songs of the past decade including smash singles for Dr. Dre, Nicki Minaj, Rihanna, Beyoncé and Diddy.

Since releasing her most recent solo album, Natural Causes in 2016, Skylar Grey has kept busy. In 2019 she released her project Angel with Tattoos, which Idolator dubbed as one of “The 20 Best EPs Of 2019.” She co-wrote and co-produced the song “Leaving Heaven” from Eminem’s recent album, making her the first female to produce an Eminem track. The year prior, she co-wrote “Everything I Need,” the title track for the blockbuster film Aquaman with her fiancé Elliott Taylor – the duo performed the song together on Jimmy Kimmel Live!; she sat down with Trevor Noah to discuss her illustrious career as a singer and hit songwriter on The Daily Show and performed a medley of her hits. Earlier that year, she performed her rendition of the Ben E King classic “Stand By Me” on the Today Show–the song was featured in a Budwieser commercial during Super Bowl LII. In 2017, she was featured on Macklemore’s PLATINUM single “Glorious,” which she performed everywhere from GMA to Fallon to the AMAs. She also performed on SNL with Eminem for his album Revival (Interscope), on which she wrote 4 songs, including “Walk On Water” featuring Beyoncé.
