Who Is Brittney Boston?
Brittney Boston, is a former Track and Field star who started in the music industry “late” as she would say. Her journey includes going from A&R at a major label to CoFounder and President of an indie label making grounds in a busy music industry. While obtaining her masters degree from Full Sail University in 2012, she gained her footing in the industry while working in KDS studios in Orlando in addition to, working with a few artists signed to Akon’s Kovict Music. Brittney’s story includes working with NE-YO’s label, Compound Entertainment (Motown) to being the only African American working in the Latin division for Universal Music Group – Capitol Latin. While there, she worked on one of the biggest international records in history, Bum Bum Tam Tam, which she helped bring urban features Future and Stefflon Don to the remix, now the song currently has over 1.5 billion views on YouTube and has been ranked by RollingStone as one of the biggest international songs ever.
Brittney has quietly made a name for herself in the industry by creating her lane. Always taking the path less taken and making lemonade out of lemons. Back in 2015, the music executive created a platform called I AM Musicology where she begin doing bi-monthly events called Musicology, these events brought out top music executives and talents from all around the world like Roc Nations, Lenny S, Scott Storch to Sevyn Streeter and Blame it on Kway.
Recently, in the mist of the COVID-19 pandemic, Brittney utilized her Musicology platform to curate a digital series called Battle of the Musicians where Musicians would battle head on weekly for a cash prize. The young mogul oversees a growing label Living Legends Entertainment, where she also manages the career of rising Hip-Hop artist, Dax.
Outside of Dax, Brittney is helping to build the brand of viral violinist THMPSN known as @iamthmpsn on social media. Her approach is to transition influencers into global brands. The young mogul has her eyes on the television and film industries next as she shares some endeavors in development with several networks including a documentary on Dancehall legend, Vybz Kartel.
