Ear Crack Entertainment: New York City’s Secret Weapon

Ear Crack Entertainment is an exciting new independent digital music company out of New York City. Headed by precocious 20-year-old CEO, Ben Bijur (@benbijur) of NYC, Ear Crack Ent. is focused on shining a light on young, talented creatives who aren’t getting the looks they deserve. Ben and the Ear Crack team are passionate about connecting rising independent artists with the tools and resources they need to build a successful organization and ultimately a successful music career. The first mission: discovering and building with talented young artists that take a unique approach to their craft.

At just 20 years of age, Ben has aligned himself with an impressive list of brands – after beginning his career in the marketing department of the legendary Manhattan venue, SOBs, he’s now a contributing writer at HotNewHipHop and Kazi Magazine, and has an internship with 300 Entertainment. Ear Crack Ent. has also partnered with popular Montreal-based digital platform, Montreality, to curate an “Up Now” playlist featuring up-and-coming artists; as well as with Staple Pigeon to host a freestyle contest and giveaway. The first ‘Ear Crack x Staple Pigeon Freestyle Contest’ was a hit – drawing submissions from a host of dope artists from the DMV and NY areas. The winner was rising Virginia rapper, Who? (@whogotnow) a talented lyricist with an ear for polished melodies and a growing following in the DMV area.

With a finger on the pulse and an artist-first approach, Ear Crack Ent. is perfectly positioned at the intersection of music, media, and culture to propel a new wave of independent artists to the forefront. In the future, Ben has his sights set on applying the same independent strategy in other entertainment fields beyond music. This may be the first you’re hearing of this new camp, but it definitely won’t be the last.
