Jacquece Jennings Is Making Moves In the CBD Industry with Nuleaf #1

The CBD industry is projected to be one of the top billion dollar industries in the world by 2022, but it has not necessarily afforded many ownership opportunities to black entrepreneurs. Jacquece Jennings, however, absolutely refused to be denied and her resilience has ultimately paid off. She has defied the odds by opening Nuleaf #1 in 2019, a premium CBD store based outside of Atlanta in Roswell, GA.

The bold endeavor resulted in Jennings becoming the first black woman in the state of Georgia to operate her own non-affiliated CBD business, and one of the few nationwide. Ever since opening she has garnered local and national attention, attracting a large customer base in the process.  Nuleaf #1 specializes in organic and vegan CBD products, and shoppers can find everything from CBD pain cream, edibles, tinctures/oils, pet products, water solubles, and skincare applicants. Nuleaf #1 is a one-stop shop with premium grades products that are grown in the U.S.

The former military vet and corporate leader has placed a major emphasis on showcasing the remarkable healing powers of CBD to address pain, anxiety, stress and depression. After all, it helped her. While in the military, Jennings experienced serious bouts with depression that nearly cost her her life, and not long after in 2015, she found out that she had a pituitary gland tumor. The discovery intensified her desire to learn more about CBD. She travelled to farms, met with doctors, connected with CBD leaders and studied relentlessly to become an expert.  When CBD was legalized in 2018, she was so excited that she took the leap to launch her own business.

“I did not know that my personal health issue and my prior experiences would connect years later for me to be able to go back to my old contacts, cut out the middle man and launch my own business,” she said.  “All that reading and research I had done in the past had paid off.”

CBD has been a blessing to Jennings and her family. Due to its healing powers, her tumor, while still there, is small and non-cancerous. She uses CBD to overcome anxiety and pain.

When the COVID-19 pandemic struck, things became very hectic for the young mogul. Fortunately, Jennings and her team invested their time in developing a strong online marketing strategy and as a result, Nuleaf #1’s sales have since through the roof. The company is receiving orders from all over the country. Not only that, but given the current economic and social climate facing the nation, many people are in need of the products Nuleaf #1 offers to assist them in coping with anxiety and stress.

“CBD is so powerful and I wish everyone could experience it for themselves. Those working corporate jobs who are always busy and multi-tasking, it helps them to stay focused, she said. “You even have kids in school who take CBD because they have anxiety or are depressed. CBD is life changing and I am on a mission to build awareness.”

Jennings is also a life coach and CBD educator. Although in-person appearances and seminars are on hold due to COVID-19, she will be presenting educational videos that teach people the ins and outs of CBD, as well as its benefits so they are aware of how it can alleviate areas of tension in their lives.
