Kevin Gates Joins Babyy Chris 2K on “No Harm” (Reckless Republic/Island Records)

Today, Babyy Chris 2K dropped the perfect summer vibe “No Harm”, featuring Kevin Gates. With production from Mike Mixer (Gunna, T.I., Jacquees) and Cicero (Kodak Black, Lil Baby, Polo G), this single that has been making its rounds through Atlanta’s club circuit since the city’s reopening. Making his major-label debut on Reckless Republic/Island Records, the MC has been working toward this for a while. “No Harm” is about the work he’s had to put in and a day in the life of a Rockstar.  This debut doesn’t come solo, he receives the ultimate co-sign from Kevin Gates. Working with the platinum award-winning rapper and southern legend— allowed Babyy Chris 2k to cross this off his bucket list. This is only the beginning for the promising ATLien. He brings a new sound with a memorable look, leaving you wanting more.   A self-proclaimed fashion pioneer in Atlanta, Babyy Chris 2K birthed a lot of the “drip” seen around the city.  Prior to mainstream acceptance of skinny jeans, you couldn’t really find them for men, he said; so, he resorted to shopping in the women’s section of True Religion for his jeans.  Chris explains it’s deeper than labels, it’s a true taste for fashion.

In conversation about what it was like working with Kevin Gates, he says, “Working with Gates was big for me.  Being a new artist, you don’t always receive looks like this, so having that co-sign makes it feel as if I’m on the right path.  At the end of the day, No Harm represents a typical day in my Rockstar lifestyle and having Gates on it is the tip of the iceberg”.   Working alongside Gates adds to Babyy Chris 2k’s co-signs from performances with Young Thug, Young LA, Young Dro, Skooly, Jose Guapo, Waka Flocka Flame, Travis Porter, and more. Babyy Chris 2K will be releasing his debut EP later this year, titled “1000 B.C.” B.C. is an acronym for Before Chris.  Stay locked in!

About Babyy Chris 2K

It takes undeniable versatility to break through and win over fans in this current music climate. Born and raised in the Bankhead neighborhood of Atlanta, Christopher “Babyy Chris 2K” Miller knew that he wanted to be a star since the age of 10. Growing up on the sounds of Michael Jackson, Lil Wayne, Jimi Hendrix, and Mick Jagger, just to name a few, have molded the sound that you are hearing through his music.

Growing up in Bankhead wasn’t easy and often times rough. Reflecting back on those times, that adversity is what turned Babyy Chris into the individual he is today. Trying to make ends meet for his family, he started to take music more seriously when he had turned 18, forming his first group SMB (Stack Money Boys). They dropped a project titled What Da Hell Going On: Vol. 1, which started to pick up a buzz within the Atlanta metropolitan area.

Babyy Chris 2K then branched off and became a solo artist, and that’s when the recognition started to take shape. He started to hone in on his craft more seriously and started performing alongside some of the industry heavyweights. These performances included shows with Young Thug, Young LA, Young Dro, Skooly, Jose Guapo, Waka Flocka Flame, Travis Porter, and more. This was at a time when these artists weren’t the artists they are today, and looking back at those shows Chris states, “We were all just underground artists from Atlanta grinding together.”

Now is Babyy Chris 2K’s time to shine, as he has been in the studio working on his debut studio album. For this project, he’s looking to make the focus solely on his talent, and have no big features attached to it, but instead is taking the approach of working with a lot of talented producers from Atlanta. These producers include TNT, Cassius Jay, and Mike Mixer.

Having a long term vision for his career, in 5 years Babyy Chris 2K sees himself running the game. But in 10 years, he sees his son running the game, wanting to make this a family business.

“My son Code is already a star, at only two years old. He’s already running around my house dancing and lip-syncing to my music on the beat, perfectly.” So in Babyy Chris 2K’s eyes, he has to be great, he needs to be a role model to his children to be something bigger than they believe they are. So laying that foundation musically and spiritually early on is what pushes him to keep creating.

As a rockstar in the making, Babyy Chris 2K sees resemblances of himself in Lil Wayne and Future. Those two artists made it cool for artists, especially rappers, to not fit into a certain mold. It’s rockstar lifestyle for life!
