Manny & The Coloured Sky Releases Dynamic Single ‘Ain’t Simple’ With Lauren-Paige

During these interesting times, it’s a question which most artists have, do they release music? Manny & The Coloured Sky and Lauren-Paige felt it was the right time to release a new track that blurs the line between R&B and Soul, which is why it’s a track to play on repeat.

The Tapeline Recordings label mates have come together after the long time of performing live gigs and have created something special. Manny & The Coloured Sky was in the middle of finishing a collaborative E.P when the current climate got worse and worse. The Nigerian born creative is known for his love of collaborating with others, but the Sainsbury’s key worker knew that releasing some positive music was needed.

From one simple chord progression and the hook ‘Life Just Ain’t Simple’ it was a clear conclusion to include beautiful melodies from Lauren-Paige as the jazz infused vocals fit perfectly to the soulful beats. Collaborating is the name of the game when it comes to these two and it’s no surprise that these two came together.

Manny’s influences of Childish Gambino and Sampha are clear to see in this track as the simple harmonies mixed in melodic tones from Lauren-Paige have made a delightful listen.

This latest creation is an exciting tease for the E.P that will hopefully be finished once the current climate has cleared up as this new music is something to keep an eye on.
