Who Is G. LaBeaud?

Multi-faceted entertainer G. LaBeaud drops the video to his hit song titled “Come By” as part of his plans to ignite the entertainment industry in 2020!

G. LaBeaud is looking to continue in the stride that has helped him to become a force to be reckoned with worldwide with the release of the video to his hit single “Come By.” The talented singer/songwriter is also set to do a promotional tour of the South and Midwest regions, which will kick off late fall.

From being on the verge of giving up on his career, G. LaBeaud has beaten the odds with “Come By” being one of the major hits of the past year. In recent times, the drive, determination, and confidence to pursue his passion have been reignited. His efforts have been rewarded, receiving great responses and love from his millions of fans throughout the world.

As part of his renewed efforts, G. LaBeaud and his team at LaBeaud Music are working on reintroducing his body of work which includes songs that he has written and recorded throughout his career. G is known for pouring his heart out, putting his soul and mind into every line to create feel good music that embodies love.

The video to “Come By” is currently doing well across different platforms. G. LaBeaud is also working on a follow-up single – “Rock with Me,” where he aims to show more of his creativity, ingenuity and signature voice that has made him a stand out over the years.

As part of his plans to create a time stamp and soundtrack into people’s lives, G. LaBeaud has worked with quite a number of big names in the industry. According to him, his greatest achievement as an artist is being on 2 platinum records and 1 Gold record. He has also worked with Gerald Levert on his “Groove On” album.

The world can only expect more from the bundle of talent in 2020 and beyond.

If you could explain who you are now as an artist, what’s different from 6 months ago?

6 Months ago I didn’t have drive. I was on the verge of giving up on being an artist. Today I have the drive, determination and confidence to pursue my passion. The past few months I’ve been going harder than I have in years. And seeing the response and love I get from people just reminded me of my purpose.

Tell me about your current project?

This project we are currently working on is a collection of music I’ve recorded over the years that we feel the world needs to hear. We are back in the studio as we speak reproducing and tweaking a few things. With this album we are trying to bring back love and emotion back to music. I feel it’s my job as an artist to create music that embodies love.

Do you have any tours or shows coming up?

As of right now we don’t have any tours lined up but we are shooting for Spring or early Summer to be on the road again.

Do you have a video out yet? If so when is your release date?

Yes, I have a video out now for my single “Come By” and we are getting the treatment together as we speak for the follow up Single titled “Rock with Me”.

What will you bring to the music and entertainment industry that you feel is unique?

I feel I can bring a signature stylist sound that stands out. Even on records with some greats my voice has always stood out to those who know it. I make music that everyone can listen to young or old. I have standards and boundaries that I won’t cross to appeal to the masses. I am and will always remain G. Labeaud.

What was the biggest obstacle in getting to your current career phase?

My biggest obstacle has always been myself. I am a man of word so when someone would tell me they are going to do something I would always believe them. I put my career in other people’s hands. So instead of pushing myself and learning the business on my own and driving myself I let myself be on someone else’s time. I have no one else to blame but myself.

What do you want people to get from your music?

I want to create a time stamp and soundtrack into people’s lives. Growing up I listened to music that til this day when I hear them it takes me to my childhood and the great memories that were created. I want to be that for this generation. I want people to know it’s ok to love and it’s ok to feel.

What do you feel has been your greatest life achievement so far?

My greatest achievement thus far is being a father, husband,son and a friend and showing love to as many people as possible. Love is the most important thing to me life. I value that more money or any material thing.
I’ve always lived my life to remain solid and be a positive influence to everyone. Musically my greatest achievement is being on 2 platinum records and 1 Gold. And also working with Gerald Lavert on his “Groove On” album and being apart of a Platinum project that did so well on Billboard.

If you could collaborate with one artist, living or dead, who would it be and why?

This is a difficult question. But if I had to choose one it would definitely be Marvin Gaye. His emotion in his vocals and background arrangements and placements were so clever. That’s when I first learned the importance of background arrangements. I also admired his dare to be different and not be afraid to be himself. I feel we share those same qualities.

If you had to pick one song of yours, that really explains YOU, what would it be?

I have a record called “Through music I will Live”. it explains me and my journey in this music business. The lyrics tell my story so when I’m no longer here in the physical, I will be able to live on through Music!!!
