Yung Smilez New Project Broken Promises

Born and raised in Pensacola, Florida, Yung Smilez innovative rap music has captured  fans from various parts of the entertainment industry. Growing up in a musical family, Yung Smilez  was introduced at 23 the potential to create his own music career; setting his goals to entertain the masses while still being true to his craft. Influenced by artist such as Drake, Bazzi and Imagine Dragons, Yung Smilez album Broken Promises displays multiple genres through his album. Creating notes that can entertain a diverse setting of millennials and general z to vibe and relate to within their curated playlists.

As an independent artist, Smilez understands that the respect for his artistry is to be gained within the entertainment industry. Always down for a challenge, Smilez hard work and dedication to continuously give the world continuous singles and visuals leading up to his project Broken Promises has proven to be appreciated throughout his fanbase. Broken Promises begins with his opening introduction No More; establishing that his love has his limits, making his music notes vibrant and establishing his artistry appearance with a bold first impression. Each track throughout Smilez projects flows together to tell the common but complex story that we all experience; the misleading and understanding of love.

The multifaceted rap album carries from a hip-hop node to the Latin flare of the 4th single of the album; Ya Hips featuring artist Cai Mill. The single is set up as the first scene of meeting a potential mate; dancing to the beat of their own drums; Smilez demonstrates the melodic shift throughout the project; wanting to create an international flare that is able to appease all music styles. The melodic shift happens again through EDM and pop inspired single style Go Slow and Caribbean style single I Want Ya, displaying the rise of a fleeting love affair.

The message throughout the album switch from the first half of Smilez project to the second half; displaying the lows of a crumbling relationship. As the second half progresses, the energy through Me vs Me is vividly created through Smilez lyrics. “I don’t want to live if it’s only going to be me. I don’t want to fall if I have to be lonely”. Smilez skills to paint multiple stories throughout his lyrics and artistry is to not be overturned throughout this masterpiece.

As Broken promises generate relatable tracks; it is to be noted that this album is a creation that is not to be skipped. Each track carries a message; depth that cannot be missed. This album is personally an easy favorite to add to your playlist as no track was left behind; creating a fluid journey through Hip-Hop, Latin, Pop and Caribbean styles that is guaranteed to keep your interest.

Yung Smilez executed his vision without a hitch. Rather than letting the pressure of being an independent artist influence his music genre and image; Smilez has demonstrated his ability of versatility and longevity, establishing his own reputation and creative flow in the entertainment industry.
