20 Fun Cocktail Recipes Courtesy Of Top Brands & Mixologists

Summer 2020 is now well underway, and on behalf of The Hype Magazine, I rounded up 20 fun cocktail recipes from popular brands and top mixologists for your mixing pleasure.

Minty Marg

– 2 cups of White Grape Juice
– 1/4 cup of Los Arangos Tequila
– 1/4 cup Triple Sec
– Dash of Lime Juice
– 2 cups of Spinach
– 4 cups of Ice
– Garnish: Fresh Mint

– Mix ingredients.
– Add garnish.
– Enjoy.

Woman Warrior

– 1 1/3 oz. of Tom Of Finland Organic Vodka
– 1/3 oz. of Blue Curacao
– 1/3 oz. of Lime Juice

– Mix ingredients.
– Add garnish.
– Enjoy.

Tropical Gin

– 1.5 oz. Junipero Gin
– 2 oz. Pineapple Juice
– 0.5 oz. Grenadine Syrup
– 0.25 oz. Ginger Syrup
– 4 dashes Aromatic Bitters
– Garnish: 1 piece Pineapple

– Combine ingredients in a shaker tin, add lots of ice.
– Shake for 20 seconds.
– Strain into a glass.
– Garnish with pineapple piece.

Amaro Buck

– 1.5 oz. Amaro Montenegro
– 0.75 oz. Ginger Syrup
– 4 oz. Seltzer
– 0.5 oz. Lime Juice
– 1 piece Candied Ginger
– Ice

– Pack a glass with ice.
– Pour all ingredients except candied ginger over the ice.
– Stir to combine.
– Cut a slit in the candied ginger, and place it on the rim of the glass.

Cynar Julep

– 1/4 oz. Fresh Lemon Juice
– 2 sprigs mint (plus 1 for garnish)
– 2 oz. Ramazzotti Amaro
– 1/2 oz. simple syrup
– 2 oz. grapefruit soda
– Pink grapefruit slice (for garnish)
– Glass: Old Fashioned

– Muddle lemon juice and 2 mint sprigs in an old fashioned glass.
– Add amaro, simple syrup, and crushed ice.
– Stir.
– Top with grapefruit soda.
– Garnish with a mint sprig and a pink grapefruit slice.

Fourth of July Fizz
Created by Ocean Spray

– 1 cup Blueberries
– 2 1/2 cups Ocean Spray Cran America Juice Drink
– 2 cups Absolut Blueberry Vodka
– 2 1/2 cups Ginger Ale
– 2 1/2 cups Club Soda
– 1 Lime (juiced)
– Ice

– Smash blueberries into the bottom of a drink pitcher with a large spoon.
– Add the rest of the ingredients into the pitcher.
– Stir and serve over ice.

Seagram’s Sweet Tea Arnold Palmer

– 2 oz. of Seagram’s Sweet Tea Vodka
– 4 oz. of Lemonade
– Garnish: Mint and Lemons
– Glass: Highball

– Combine Seagram’s Sweet Tea Vodka and lemonade over ice in a highball glass.
– Stir then garnish with mint and lemon.

Crystal Head Vodka Smokin’ Head Caesar

– 2 oz. Crystal Head Vodka
– 5 oz. Clamato (Caesar) or tomato juice (Bloody Mary)
– Dash of Worcestershire sauce
– Dash of hot sauce
– Dash of liquid smoke
– Garnish of your choice — ingredients for rim garnish: 3/4 tsp. salt, 1/4 tsp. pepper, 1/2 tsp. smoked paprika

– Rub the rim of the glass with a lemon wedge and dip into salt, pepper and smoked paprika mix.
– In a shaker half filled with ice, add all ingredients and shake well.
– Strain into the pre-rimmed glass filled with ice.

Té Recuerdo Mezcal

– 1 1/2 oz. Recuerdo Joven Mezcal
– 1 1/2 oz. Lemongrass Tea
– 1/2 oz. Lime Juice
– 1/2 oz. Agave Syrup
– Soda Water
– Garnish: Pineapple Leaf
– Glass: Old Fashioned

– Mix all the ingredients except the soda water in a shaker with ice.
– Serve in an old fashioned glass with ice.
– Fill with soda
– Garnish with a pineapple leaf.

Easy Breeze

– 1.5 oz. Absolut Grapefruit
– 1.5 oz. Cranberry Juice
– Ice
– Garnish: 1 Wedge Orange
– Glass: Rocks

– Fill a rocks glass with ice cubes.
– Add all ingredients.
– Garnish with an orange wedge.

Pear & Elderflower Soda

– 1 oz. Absolut Juice Pear & Elderflower
– 1 oz. Soda Water
– Ice Cubes
– Garnish: 1 Wedge Lemon
– Glass: Highball

– Fill a highball glass with ice cubes.
– Add Absolut Juice and soda water.
– Garnish with a lemon wedge.

Diplomatico Daiquiri

– 1 1/2 oz. Diplomatico Planas Rum
– 2/3 oz. Lime Juice
– 1/2 oz. Simple Syrup
– Garnish: Lime Wedge
– Glass: Chilled Coupe

– Add all ingredients to a shaker, fill with ice, shake and strain into a chilled coupe glass.
– Garnish with a lime wedge.


– 1 1/2 oz. Diplomatico Planas Rum
– 1/2 oz. Lime Juice
– 1/2 oz. Sugar Syrup
– 3/4 oz. Soda
– Garnish: 5 Fresh Mint Leaves

– Add fresh mint directly to a tall glass, softly muddle and pour all ingredients over muddled mint.
– Top off with ice and soda.
– Garnish with a fresh mint sprig.

Blackberry Basil Smash

– 1.5 oz. Prairie Organic Vodka
– 1 oz. Lime Juice
– 0.75 oz. Simple Syrup
– Blackberries, to muddle and for garnish
– Basil, to muddle and for garnish
– Glass: Lowball

– Muddle blackberries and basil in a shaker.
– Add in Prairie Organic Vodka, lime juice, and simple syrup then add ice and shake.
– Pour contents into a lowball glass.
– Garnish.

Prairie Violet

– 2 oz. Prairie Organic Gin
– 1 oz. Creme De Violette
– 1 oz. Triple Sec
– 1 oz. Lemon Juice
– Ice Cubes
– Garnish: Orange Peel

– Combine Prairie Organic Gin, crème de violette, triple sec and lemon juice in a cocktail shaker with ice.
– Strain into lowball filled with ice cubes.
– Garnish with orange peel.

Pineapple Sour

– 2 oz. Tiki Lovers Pineapple Rum
– 1 oz. Fresh Lemon Juice
– 3/4 oz. Sugar Syrup
– Glass: Rocks

– Shake all ingredients with ice.
– Strain in a rocks glass filled with ice.


– 80 ml (2 2/3 oz.) Tiki Lovers Dark Rum
– 40 ml (1 1/3 oz.) Fresh Lemon Juice
– 30 ml (1 oz.) Passionfruit Syrup
– Glass: Tall

– Shake with crushed and regular ice.
– Pour into tall glass over crushed ice.
– Garnish to taste.

Basileus Punch

– 1 cup Tiki Lovers White Rum
– 1 cup Tiki Lovers Pineapple Rum
– 2 cups Coconut Liqueur
– 2 cups Fresh Lemon Juice
– 2 cups Pineapple Juice
– 4 cups Basil Syrup (3 cups Water, 1.5 cups Sugar, 1/3 cups fresh basil leaves)

– Juice and peel of one lemon.
– Dissolve sugar in boiling water, take it off the stove.
– Add lemon juice, lemon peel and basil.
– Let steep and strain when cool.

Very Very Irish Coffee

– 4 oz. freshly-brewed Fire Dept. Coffee – Egan’s Irish Whiskey-Infused Coffee
– 1 oz. of Egan’s Irish Whiskey – Vintage Grain
– 2 tbsp. of Demerara Sugar (plus more for cream)
– Heavy whipping cream

– Texture heavy whipping cream in a shaker for about one minute, using a shaker bottle or mixing tin with a whisking ball.
– Add a little sugar, to taste.
– Pour coffee into glass and stir in 2 tbsp. of Demerara sugar.
– Add Egan’s Irish Whiskey.
– Top with a heavy pour of the whipped cream.
– Finish with a touch of coffee grounds.

Egan’s Cold Fashion

– 2 oz. of Egan’s Irish Whiskey – Vintage Grain
– 1 oz. of cold brew made with FDC Egan’s Irish Whiskey-Infused Coffee
– 1 Demerara Sugar Cube (or about one bar spoon’s worth)
– 3 dashes of Angostura Bitters
– Garnish: 1 strip of orange peel
– Maraschino Cherry

– Pour Egan’s Irish Whiskey in glass.
– Add sugar and stir to dissolve.
– Add in cold brew coffee and stir.
– Muddle cherry and continue to dissolve sugar.
– Add bitters and toss in an ice cube.
– Garnish with orange peel if desired.

Jane Fonda
The Don Papa’s Traveling Rum Shack will be circulating around New York this summer, including stops at Short Stories, Lucien, Fat Buddha, and Petaluma in Manhattan, and Dolly’s in Brooklyn, Sweetwater in Williamsburg, Sama Street in Greenpoint, and Long Island’s Montauk Beach House

– 1.5 oz. Don Papa Rum
– 1 oz. Orange Juice
– 1 oz. Pineapple Juice
– 0.5 oz. Coconut Juice
– Ice Cubes

– Put all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.
– Pour into a glass.
– Enjoy!

Hard Spritz

– 1 1/2 oz. Junipero Gin
– 3 oz. Prosecco
– 2 oz. Aperol
– 1 oz. Soda Water
– Garnish: Orange Wheel

– Combine all ingredients into a wine glass with ice and stir.
– Garnish with orange wheel.
