Adam Rom unveils honest new single ‘Pieces’

British singer-songwriter Adam Rom returns with heart-on-sleeve new single ‘Pieces’, out on Friday 17th July.

‘Pieces’ sees Adam shift away from the more electronic-based sound that has characterised previous releases, instead centring the track around acoustic elements that prove an ideal match for his honest lyricism.

“Pieces is my take on falling in love with someone. The song for me is when you feel so whole and happy with that other person, you’ll do anything for them and they’ll do anything for you. You’re in this really special period. All of your fears and worries seem to vanish.” Adam explains. I wrote the song with Mary Leay, it was our first ever session with each other and all I had brought in to work from was this super jazzy chord progression that I wrote the week before. The whole thing just fell into place.”

It follows the smooth R&B of ‘You & Me’, which then received the remix treatment from Leicester DJ and producer Jerome Price, and the fluttering ‘Hostage’, his first release of the new decade.

Adam Rom released his debut single ‘Obvious’ last summer, a track that has since racked up over two million streams globally across all platforms. The animated record was featured as ‘Best New Pop’ on BBC Radio 1 and subsequently went onto secure multiple plays and support from BBC Radio 1’s Scott Mills who said, ‘If Justin Bieber did that, that would be a worldwide smash’. This was followed up by ‘Curse’, an emotive pop track fusing trap and house elements, while Adam also made his live debut at fashion festival Tokyo Girls Collection last year, and live support slots for Moss Kena and Harry Hudson.

Adding another string to his bow, ‘Pieces’ sees Adam Rom explore a new creative direction.
