Afonso’s Budding Love And Lofi Soul Defines New Single ‘Bloom’

After being lauded by the likes of Clash Magazine, Colors and more, who use his personal lyricism as a key factor to his music being one to look out for, Afonso has shown his love of following his own path in life, whilst he mixes in his groovy lofi feelings in the new track.

The London-based artist is one for serenading his listeners with ear-candy melodies, but his retro and soulful vibes are not a surprise as he has been inspired by the likes of Lianne La Havas, Nick Hakim and Moses Sumney, which is no surprise why there are warm tones within his music.

Although Afonso is originally from Portugal, his musical journey has started after arriving in London, but it’s not been an easy journey when entering the U.K’s various music scenes.  He’s had to put in the work whilst the ideology of making it big has still remained in his mind.

‘Bloom’ is all about the first stages of a relationship, the reflection on how the love and passion for someone can grow and blossom into something beautiful.  Whether it’s the lyricism of asking the person to go for a date or using harmonies to allow for every sensation felt, Afonso’s passion is unlike any other.

A soul and jazz-influenced artist, who sings, writes, and follows his own path, but is able to curate imagery in listeners minds with all of Afonso’s creative juices coming out in this new effort.
