Alex Harris Releases New Single & Music Video “I Am”
After cementing himself as an acclaimed force on his own terms, buzzing Texas artist Alex Harris releases a new single and music video entitled “I AM” today.

On the track, which was produced by C.J. Plays, he bobs and weaves between fluttering bars and entrancing melodies before serving up a soaring refrain. The central affirmation—“Everything that I am is everything that I am, motherfucker, I am”—hits hard as it declares his individuality. Meanwhile, the Martin Cruz and James Baxter-directed cinematic music video segues from mountaintop footage to midnight city vignettes as Alexcruises the streets at full speed and with loaded bars.
Most importantly, “I AM” sets the stage for much more music to come from Alex.

Alex Harris fashioned a singular style from strains of R&B, rap, soul, and alternative threaded together by sharp storytelling. Following the independent Five of Five EP and FOOLISH EP, he sold out venues throughout Dallas and opened for everyone from A$AP Ferg to Juicy J. Along the way, he bounced from Los Angeles to Houston before holing up in Atlanta. Holding down a job, he cleaned pools during the day and devoted any and all free time to recording. Embracing sobriety, he put his head down and immersed himself in his craft. During 2019, he made waves with the Pink Cloud EP. The project attracted plugs from Bossip, Elicit Magazine, Beyond the Stage Magazine, and Variance who dubbed it, “a welcome appetizer.” As the follow-up single “88 Floors” racked up 280K YouTube views within a few months, he signed to Epic and leapt ahead creatively once again with his 2020 single “I Am.”
