Clintn Lord Embraces Rock Star Mentality on ‘Whippin White’

Brooklyn rapper and model Clintn Lord’s new track “Whippin White” is an unabashed ode to his rock star lifestyle — getting high, chasing girls and riding for his dogs for life. Percolating chimes, slurred effects and pacing snaps provided by producer Marcus Allen offer the perfect landscape for Clintn’s scratchy, sing-song flow.

Clinton explains, “When I started being honest about who I was and what was going on in my life, I just wanted to take full responsibility and put it out there like, f–k it, I’m going to be a rock star.”

Committed to releasing plenty heat for the summer, Clintn will drop a new track every Thursday for the next four weeks. HipHopDX, HotNewHipHop and Durtty Daily are among the sites that have shown love to his recent releases “Set Big and “Toxic.” His song “Ay! Caramba,” a collab with his big brother SAINt JHN, is enjoying mixshow spins.

As a model, Clintn’s credits include Kanye West’s Yeezy Season 3, NYFW September 2017 and features in Vogue and Elle. In 2016, he performed at the Hard festival in Los Angeles on a bill with DJ Khaled, Travis Scott and Lil Uzi Vert. That same year he debuted his first album, “Beautiful Demon,” and the follow up, “Savage America,” dropped in 2017. “Bicycle,” “Beast” and “Love You Right” are among his stunning visuals.
