Fresh From Collabs With Kehlani, Coucheron Teams Up With Pasha for I SPY

Having already teamed up with the likes of Kehlani, Nick Jonas, Kyle and Don Diablo on his previously shared releases, Grammy-nominated producer Coucheron has now returned to collaborate with fast-rising Norwegian hip-hop star Pasha on their new single ‘I SPY’, out via Toothfairy Records.

While Coucheron previously worked with Pasha as the producer for his cuts ‘I Don’t Speak French’ and ‘Prettiboy Bounce’, this new offering sees the pair work as complete equals, bringing their own unique spin to this bouncing and pulsing trap-inspired jam.

Speaking about their new offering, they said, “We are secret spies. James Bond is my father. This song was inspired by Casino Royale. It’s about being sad.”

With swaithes of momentum now behind him, Pasha originally came up through the Norwegian underground hip-hop scene, crafting his skills and showcasing his live performances with every opportunity he had. Buzzing through word of mouth, and via praise from international tastemakers such as NME, Beats 1 Radio and Highsnobiety, Pasha’s explosive energy eventually caught the attention of international festival bookers, securing spots at the line up at festivals such as SXSW, Kadetten, X Games and Appletree Garden to name a few. With millions of streams and a strong recognizable brand in Scandinavia, he’s now making his first moves into the U.S and the rest of Europe, while being nominated for ‘Live Act of the Year’ at this year’s award show with Norwegian NRK P3 Gull.

Coucheron however built his reputation in the studio; signing to Atlantic Records at the age of 18 after multiple chart-topping remixes over at Hype Machine, the young producer and artist became a go to guy for some of the hottest international A-listers. Producing for artists such as Kehlani, Nick Jonas, Kyle and Don Diablo, Coucheron quickly made a name for himself and later rolled out his first original track, which charted on college radio in Germany, the U.S. and Norway in addition to harvesting millions of streams across all platforms. Touring Norway and the U.S. The artist became notorious for his upbeat sets, setting fire to dancefloors while releasing tracks guesting the likes Mayor Hawthorne, Matoma and Ary to name a few.

With a summer tour already on the books for next year, the duo gave a sneak peak of what’s to come at this year’s international music-business festival By:Larm in Norway. With top reviews across the board, the expectations are huge when Coucheron and Pasha finally will be able to show the world their spectacular club show once the coronavirus situation cools down.
