Yo Gotti Drops Music Video For “Recession Proof” Starring MoneyBagg Yo, Blac Youngsta & the CMG Family

With a new era underway as a fully-independent artist, multiplatinum musician and entrepreneur Yo Gotti is putting the CMG family front-and-center in his new music video for his single, “Recession Proof.”

The video, which is directed by Motion Family, includes appearances from MoneyBagg YoBlac Youngsta and Lil Migo as CMG stakes its claim as the best independent label in music with a star-studded lineup that also boasts rising star 42 Dugg.

The “Recession Proof” music video also shows a first extended look at Gotti’s new chiselled and slimmed-down physique after he dropped 40 pounds. Beyond flaunting his frame, Gotti flashes his collection of luxury cars, including the turquoise Rolls Royce truck, turquoise Ferrari F8 and turquoise Lamborghini Truck Urus that he recently purchased as birthday gifts to himself.

Gotti’s lavish birthday purchases – that amassed over $1.3 million – should be familiar, considering they generated looks in HighsnobietyHypebeast and Complex, the latter of which described the artist as “one of the busiest rappers in the game” and noted that “it’s understandable why Yo Gotti has no qualms about spoiling himself.”

The Memphis native first dropped “Recession Proof” on Thursday to celebrate his first single as an independent artist via his independent music label CMG on Independence Day Weekend. The Tay Keith-produced song marked Gotti’s first release since dropping his fourth and final album – Untrapped – under Epic Records back in January 2020.

“Recession Proof” is currently available on all streaming platforms and you can buy/stream HERE.
