Black Sands releases energetic track ‘High Life’
‘High Life’ is the electric new offering from Black Sands, providing a compelling mix of genres, including a dark rock undertone, electro-pop melody, and edgy hip-hop beats. The song is accompanied by Martino’s irresistible high energy and slightly distorted R&B vocals, coating the track in an abundance of alluring intensity. As the power behind the track builds, it brings with it an atmospheric feel, and is something to really feel and get lost in.
Discussing the new single, Black Sands said: “High Life explores themes of outrunning your past and demons to ultimately create a better life. Even if you’re moving forward and seeing material gains, you can’t outrun the experiences or tragedies that make you who you are. Trying to cope with success is always intertwined with your failure. High Life explores how you choose to move through it.”
Amsterdam-based Andrew Balfour brings a range of expertise to his recording project Black Sands, building on his experience as a touring artist in the alt-rock scene, previously featuring in Alternative Press, Warped Tour and Taste of Chaos. Taking influence from the likes of Nine Inch Nails, Smashing Pumpkins and Deftones, Black Sands cleverly culminates a range of sounds to produce something both cinematic and progressive. Black Sands’ established sound is instantly recognisable, and undoubtedly stands out from the crowd.Tweet
