California State University, Fullerton Police Department Partners with Law Enforcement Community Relations Program Game Changer

California State University, Fullerton Police Department is thrilled to announce their renewed partnership with Game Changer, the nation’s leading program dedicated to improving law enforcement community relations. The duo will co-host two virtual events to take place in August and September of this year. The police department is dedicated to the proactive enhancement of law enforcement community relations by being a hub for civic engagement.

Game Changer was founded by Sean Sheppard M.A. and is a one-of-a-kind program that serves under the 501(c)3 nonprofit organization Shep-Ty Inc. umbrella. Fresh from a five-event series co-hosted by the Los Angeles Lakers, Game Changer will moderate two, private events for Cal State Fullerton Police Department, one on August 31st and the other on a to-be-determined date in September. The moderated virtual events will feature law enforcement members and local community residents. Participants will discuss specific concerns and devise solutions that are compiled with previous event solutions to be presented to legislators in order to bring about policy change.

“In light of the demands for police reform nationwide, it is imperative that police officials and members of the community have the opportunity and space to listen, understand, and share their experiences in an effort to broach the understanding, healing, and unity our communities deserve. Game Changer creates such a space,” stated Raymund Aguirre, Cal State University, Fullerton Chief of Police.

Game Changer Founder Sean Sheppard added, “The Cal State Fullerton Police Department continues to set a community policing standard that is inclusive, self-reflective, and determined to bring about much needed change. We look forward to playing our role in this latest step to improve law enforcement community relations in Orange County.
