Dave East Heats Up The Summer With His East Mix to the Classic Hit “I Got 5 On It”

Harlem rapper Dave East adds his infamous remix to another visual Bay Area hit “I Got Five On It” from the group Luniz formed by Oakland rappers Yukmouth and Numskull. We already know the New York formula by now from East. He usually takes off with a string of remixes and visuals, meaning an upcoming project is near. He has been preparing music as we speak, getting ready for his next project and third installment to his legendary Karma series. East has remained focused this year despite losing several close friends in the process in 2020.

Champagne occasions, treat every day like my birthday
I hate this year, I really went through it in the worst way
30K for a feature, I blew it on the first day
I thought my ni**a would make it, I ain’t care what the nurse say
We came up from the bottom, I’m really rare with the wordplay

The pain from the success comes with territory and East keeps tunnel vision as he seals his legacy with the next decade of the gritty New York street gospels. The Max Comfort captured visual was recorded by East’s long time videographer.

Watch the video below and stay tuned for Karma 3 coming soon. Leave a comment and tell us what you think about this Eastmix.
