Elle Baez Creates Stunning Body-Positive Gallery Alongside Her Release “Paint Me”

Often, we look to artists for their sheer brilliance and ingenuity to push us collectively forward in times of strife. Brooklyn-based singer-songwriter Elle Baez is no exception to that with her body-positive message. Taken inspiration from the intimately classic scene of Titanic where Jack draws Rose, Elle Baez has taken control of her own story, her own narrative and created an inspiration of self-love to women aptly entitled “Paint Me.”

Baez shares a universal truth, where timeless beauty is said to be a rose, yet no two roses are the same. She questions today’s society with why women are taught to strive the sameness? Just as roses, all women are beautiful of their unique selves and yet, the act of self-love these days feels like an act of rebellion. Just as every rose has its own unique color and shape, Baez urges all women to love themselves in all entirety with the inclusion of her gallery Paint Me: The Collection of a Dozen Roses – View The Gallery HERE

Baez’s self-curated gallery of diverse plus-size women takes the independence shown by Titanic’s Rose and runs with it. Posing as the famous character with the “heart of the ocean necklace,” each woman within the gallery challenge our societal tropes by the rebellious and revolutionary act of self-love and demand of praise, admiration, and value.

Their message is clear; they are here to stake their claim as the pinnacle of beauty and the object of pop culture’s affection. Renaissance bodies will reclaim their disinherited throne once again and women should not ask for it back, but rather rise together in solidarity and reclaim it.
