Film Producer BK Fulton On Founding Soulidifly Productions, Writing Books, Work Ethic & More

Since founding Soulidifly Productions in 2017, film producer BK Fulton has produced 6 feature-length films, a digital TV streaming network, an online entertainment magazine, and he has a few more exciting projects coming out later this year. Just 4 years ago, Fulton “retired” from nearly 30 years in corporate leadership in the media/telecom industry — e.g. Verizon, AOL/Time Warner — but not one to rest on his laurels, he sought an opportunity to “tell positive, often untold, human stories” that speak to all generations. His acclaimed latest film, 1 Angry Black Man, was released through Byron Allen’s Freestyle Digital Media on June 5, 2020 to audiences worldwide; it was awarded “Honorable Mention” for “Best Narrative Feature (U.S.)” at the 2018 Urbanworld Film Festival, and won the Oscar Micheaux Award and the Best Narrative Feature award at the Baltimore International Film Festival.

Per that aforementioned “digital TV streaming network,” earlier this year Soulidifly launched SoulVision.TV, which currently has over 400 hours of content. BK Fulton has partnered with other production companies to feature a variety of content on the network — films, comedy, music, cooking-related content, lifestyle shows, documentaries, and more — and it keeps growing. Meanwhile, Fulton has published multiple books in the last year, not slowing down since the COVID-19 pandemic hit.

On August 25, 2020, I had the pleasure of speaking with BK Fulton via Zoom, as embedded below. More on Fulton’s various projects can be found online by visiting www.soulidifly.com, www.soulvision.tv, and/or www.twitter.com/SoulidiflyFilms.
