Hip Hop Artist Malik English Leaves Toxic Relationships Behind In New Single “Fell In Luv”

Brooklyn Hip Hop artist Malik English has a long history of success; having been featured as a premiere artist on YesJulz 1AM Radio, SOB’s Certified Playlist and most recently as a model in Beyonce’s iconic new film “Black is King”, the Trinidadian/Nigerian artist is ready to continue his momentum with the release of his new song “Fell In Luv”. The track details the complexities involved in trying to remove yourself from a toxic relationship. It’s a painful process and Malik communicates it seamlessly through eerie synth leads, pounding bass and 808, combined with a raw, emotive vocal tone to fully encompass the image of pain and love.

Breaking free of a toxic situation can be one of the biggest challenges we face in journey that is love. In “Fell is Luv”, Malik voices that he was in a dark place and couldn’t see his way out. But we’re thankful he did; the 21 year old’s diverse musical tastes and influences range from Kanye West to Fallout Boy. The result is a unique sound that he defines as ‘Glitter Trap’. Through the use of trippy synths & hard drums combined with his limitless flows and melodies, Malik is quickly carving out his own lane in rap music. Pre-covid, you could find Malik performing at venues like The Apollo & Bowery Electric. It’s clear that his sound is uniquely his; “Fell in Luv” is honest, danceable and incredibly relatable. If Malik continues to release authentic hit after hit, there’s no doubting that there will be a quick rise to the top for this guy.
