Sobhhï Drops New Single “Alone Somehow”

Rising R&B artist sobhhï has recently unveiled a new song and video: “Alone Somehow”. The track employs subtle elements of disco inside a beautifully soothing atmosphere created by sobhhï’s excellent vocals and strong production. The music video was shot and directed by sobhhï himself, during quarantine in Dubai.

Sobhhï shared some insight on both the song and the video:

“The song is all about the foregone conclusions of an unsuccessful romance. Instrumentation was selected carefully to be predominantly acoustic and analogue like the thumpy kick and snare, the upright piano, and the analogue synthesizers. It’s a bit of a different approach than the other releases from the BLACK and RED collections, which have more futuristic and other-worldly sounds.

I’ve been working on the track on and off for almost two years, having the pleasure to film and direct the video in Dubai just before leaving. From the floor-to-ceiling windows behind the 44th floor bathtub, you’ll see a view overlooking the city. Just like the song, I opted for a styling and visual representation that would capture the VCR era in a bottle.

This genre and aesthetic is timeless and taps into something deeper than a trend. Having that imprint on the record and video is essential”.

Sobhhï, the top streamed R&B artist in Dubai, adds “Alone Somehow” to his latest collection of music, the “WHITE” collection. Sobhhï previously released “You’ll Be Down” recently, a part of the “RED III” collection, and a track that quickly grew in popularity. A lot of new music from sobhhï is planned for release in the coming months and he will certainly be an artist to keep an eye on as he is poised to deliver a strong finish to the rest of 2020.
