Tick Toc Is a Summer Hit

The song Tick Tok by Bay Area artists Tree Thomas & IAMSU has exploded this summer. Since its release in late spring, the song has accumulated over 300,000 plays and has streamed in over +50 countries including the USA, Germany, Canada, UK, France, and Japan. What’s most amazing is that the growth has been completely organic —  not a single dollar has been spent towards marketing.

A significant portion of the growth can be attributed to the artistry: the melodic R&B inspired flow of Tree Thomas and the witty bars by IAMSU matched with the production of Hefnagwap makes listeners move. However, the song has also done a great job leveraging the growth of the viral social media platform creators across the world have grown to love — Tic Tok.

After closing their first 100k streams the artist linked up with director Chito Floriano to launch a music video. The visual utilizes a combination of entertaining visuals, dance moves, and clips taken from viral Tick Tock videos that were all made using the song.

What’s next for the song is still to be determined. However, one thing is certain; Thomas plans to use the buzz from this summer hit to launch his next project.
