Undefeated Bellator Star Yaroslav Amosov On “Bellator 244,” Mohegan Sun, Mike Tyson & More

Bellator is a leading global MMA and kickboxing promotion featuring many of the best athletes in the world. Under the direction of veteran fight promoter Scott Coker, Bellator events take place in major cities around the world and can be seen on television in over 160 countries to an available audience of over 1 billion people. In the United States, Bellator events from all over the world can be seen on both the Paramount Network and DAZN — the world’s first truly dedicated LIVE sports streaming service — while the Bellator MMA Recharged series airs all over via the CBS Sports Network and Sky Sports.

The next big Bellator live event is Bellator 244, which will be headlined by a match between two-division Bellator champ Ryan Bader (27-5, 1 NC) and Russia’s Vadim Nemkov. One person fighting on Friday, August 21st, who has a lot of people talking is the Ukraine’s “Dynamo” Yaroslav Amosov. Amosov is presently undefeated with 23 victories to speak of as a professional fighting. His last victory in a Bellator ring was in February at Bellator 239 where he defeated Ed Ruth in an exciting fight.

I had the pleasure of interviewing “Dynamo” Yaroslav Amosov via translator, as embedded below, on August 17, 2020 by phone. We spoke about his undefeated streak, his previous experience fighting at Mohegan Sun, what led him into the MMA world, whether Mike Tyson — who he met last year — was an influence on him becoming a fighter, life outside of MMA, and more. Additional information on Amosov can be found online via www.bellator.com, www.twitter.com/yaroslavamosov, www.instagram.com/s_amoskin, and/or www.twitter.com/bellatormma.
