Zach Zoya Releases New Single “Le Cap”

Montreal rap star Zach Zoya just dropped his new single “Le Cap” and announced that his first project since signing to a major label is set to release this fall. Following the success of Zoya’s over the top video for “Slurpee,” which earned support from the likes of Complex, HotNewHipHop and Beats 1 Radio, he continues to showcase the dynamic vocals and wordplay that have earned him a reputation as one of Northern Canada’s breakout artists. Zoya’s debut EP, Spectrum, is set to release this fall via 7ième Ciel/Universal Music Canada. “Le Cap” is produced by close collaborator Bougo, a Parisian producer now also based in Montréal.

Last month, Zoya performed a virtual concert for the e-sports team Toronto Ultra’s Home Series Weekend – a part of Toronto Ultra Week for the Call of Duty League – broadcasted on YouTube for over 60,000 concurrent viewers during the league’s final weekend of the season. In addition to his captivating performance, Zoya was the first artist to be featured in Toronto Ultra’s brand-new Artist Spotlight series.

Zach Zoya has been one of the most buzzed about rappers in Montréal’s vibrant music scene since the release of his 2018 joint EP, Misstape with Platinum producer High Klassified (Future, The Weeknd). In the two years since, anticipation for new music has been building with accolades recently rolling in from Exclaim! who named him one of the 10 Emerging Canadian Artists You Need To Hear This June, ELLE Canada who deemed him a “shooting star” and praised his “unique and versatile style”, KIND Magazine who named him one of the Top 20 Artists to Watch This Spring, and Journal de Québec who declared him one of the Best ‘Rap Keb’ Artists of the Decade.
