A new find for The Hype Magazine is 18-year old CAMO! who is generating a ton of buzz on his local scene. CAMO! grew up playing basketball – and although he was quite talented at the sport, he was often chosen last, or was designated waterboy. Despite this “obstacle”, Camo remained optimistic and goal-oriented, understanding and appreciating that everyone has a position to play in life – a value that he carries over into his music and art.
A page from CAMO!’s childhood, Waterboy encourages youth to reach for the stars and to never give up on their dreams, reassuring this generation of upcoming leaders, creatives, artists, and activists that, with hard work, anything is possible.
