Chris Van Vliet On Finding Success As An Emmy-Winning Broadcaster, “The Chris Van Vliet Show” & More

Chris Van Vliet is a 4-time Emmy award winning television host, entertainment reporter and YouTuber based in Los Angeles after years in Miami. He has traveled the world reporting from events like the Oscars, GRAMMYS and the Cannes Film Festival; interview credits of Van Vliet’s include Oprah Winfrey, Tom Cruise and Will Smith. But professional wrestling fans probably know him for a very different reason: He regularly puts out news-making interviews with top wrestlers.

On the wrestling end, Chris Van Vliet is the host of The Chris Van Vliet in which sits down with top wrestling stars and gets the true story of how they wound up in their current position. While Van Vliet is not afraid to ask some hard questions, his interviews differ from that of many other wrestling-related interviews in that he tends to keep things positive with his guests. He occasionally lets out a fun fact about himself during these interviews, but he keeps the focus on his guest without it seemingly like a full-on self-promotional, “check out my latest project” sort of outing

As embedded below, I had the pleasure of interviewing Chris Van Vliet via Zoom on September 8, 2020 about his past, present and future. That included discussion of the outdoors brand WOO! Tungsten, of which he is a co-founder. More on Van Vliet can be found online by visiting www.chrisvanvliet.com, www.instagram.com/chrisvanvliet and his YouTube account.
