Kat Dahlia Makes Breakups Look Easy With New Single “Facil”

Cuban-American singer and songwriter Kat Dahlia continues her streak of bilingual singles ahead of her forthcoming album with sweet-and-sassy “Facil”

The brand new track serves as number three of a four part series leading up to her upcoming album. Sung in both Spanish and English, “Facil” is a lighthearted yet powerful message about when you find yourself putting in all the effort into a relationship. She finds a new way forward, learning that cutting them off can be surprisingly painless. The Miami born songstress pulls from her Latin roots, fusing it with modern R&B and pop rhythms.

“This song is about that surprise feeling you get when you end it with someone…. and then it turns out… life feels easier.” – Kat Dahlia

Not new to the spotlight nor the industry, Dahlia was signed back in 2012 by Vested in Culture via Epic Records after being spotted by one of its A&Rs. Her 2013 debut single and video “Gangsta” depicted the artist as a confident and unabashed woman ready for her moment. Her album Garden was released to critical acclaim, garnering a spot on the Billboard 200 chart. In 2016, she released her EP ‘20s, 50s, 100s’ on Soundcloud featuring standout record “Voices in My Head” and an assortment of visuals with Dahlia flexing her creative and acting ability.

Fusing the sounds of R&B, Afrobeats, Afropop, Reggaeton, and Latin, Dahlia’s impending album SeVeN’ reflects a global, eclectic mix of records. Dahlia notes, “I wanted to bring my own sound into Latin Music. I come from two worlds. My parents both being born from Cuba, but then growin up in Miami and listening to American Music from hip hop, trap, R&B, soul, pop, reggae, rock– it gave me a love for all types of music. I just wanted to blend all the vibes.”
