Meet the Mad Sneaks

FROM THE OUTSIDE LOOKING IN, WHO IS THE BAND MAD SNEAKS?

We would like to thank The Hype Magazine for opening the door to our work. We are just 3 simple guys from the countryside, and we do what we love. Three believers that will take the band to its limit so that our music is heard, so we can share all our experiences with those who really love music, like us!

WHAT BROUGHT YOU TO THE ENTERTAINMENT INDUSTRY, MUSIC SPECIFICALLY?

We always felt that we needed to be a band. Art is something that certainly has not yet been fully explored and absorbed by everyone. As a band, we feel that we need to share our discoveries with those who are willing to listen to us. We feel responsible for sharing our feelings about art, about our life, and our life is music. In this way, we think that we can open a range of new possibilities, for people to feel as we feel.

WHAT DO YOU WANT PEOPLE TO GET FROM YOUR MUSIC?

Just let the feelings come to you. We don’t believe in rules at all. Nobody can or should tell you what to feel or think. We want our fans to be free to understand our songs and clips as they prefer. There is no wrong answer in music or art.

THE VIDEO FOR YOUR SONG LIMBO HAS CAUGHT THE ATTENTION OF MULTIPLE FILM FESTIVALS AND GAINED TONS OF RECOGNITION, WHAT INSPIRED THE SONG AND VIDEO AND WHO WAS THE CREATIVE MIND BEHIND THE VISUALS?

I believe that the video brings not only delicate but urgent matters. Issues that need to be discussed and exposed for a revolution to really start, so that a change can come as soon as possible. Agno Dissan is always focused on something related to his art, you can tell it by his drawings, music compositions or video productions. It is clear how he loves it all.

HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT THE OVERWHELMINGLY POSITIVE RESPONSE TO THE VISUAL?

The feeling we have is that we’ve done our duty. We feel accomplished and fulfilled. We worked a lot in the whole process and there is nothing more enjoyable than sitting and watching your video finished. Seeing that all the hard work turned out just the way wanted. Catching attention and being nominated for several world-renowned awards only proves that all worth it and makes us happy.

WHY DID YOU MAKE THIS SONG?

We live what we believe and we do what we live. Everything that we create, in some way, has some connection with us, or with the moment we live. This song came up in one of these moments that we reflect on how is the point of view of someone who is lost inside himself, literally in a Limbo and tries to search in the world a way out, a way that will give him the answers he needs .

FOR NEW LISTENERS, WHAT SONG OF YOURS WOULD YOU PICK AS AN INTRODUCTION TO YOU AS AN ARTIST?

This song, Limbo, would be a great way for the band to perform It basically has all the elements that we loved in our music, elements that brought us here through all of our influences. We have a song called Dead Killer that we particularly like a lot. It was a collaboration between the great Page Hamilton and us. Page is the legendary guitarist / singer of the American band, Helmet. These two songs would be a great way to be introduced to The Hype Magazine audience.

TELL US A BIT ABOUT YOUR WORK AND PASSIONS OUTSIDE OF MUSIC…

We like to think that all types of art are welcome in our world. Agno Dissan, our guitarist and vocalist, is really passionate about cinema and has a great talent creating and directing music videos. We also really like the creative element of being in a band, image editing certainly fits our world and we can work this in our favor. Every kind of art is great. Never let anyone say that your art is not good or necessary, sooner or later you will have a chance to prove that they were wrong.

WHAT’S COMING NEXT FOR MAD SNEAKS?

We have new songs that we are really looking forward to releasing in a soon future. We also have a 2D clip that is close to seeing the sunlight and will certainly let many people impressed, with the feeling that there are still things to be done, that art has not really been 100% explored at all.

And of course, we would like to deeply thank The Hype Magazine for the opportunity and Jerry Doby for conducting the interview.

Keep your art in the sky, they can certainly fly!
