MLW Stars Ross & Marshall Von Erich On The Relaunch Of MLW, Hawaii, Future Plans & More

Arguably the fastest-growing wrestling league today, Major League Wrestling — MLW, for short — is seen weekly via DAZN, fubo Sports Network and beIN SPORTS in the United States, in addition to television networks in over 20 countries abroad. Its TV series is MLW FUSION, which regularly includes the likes of “Filthy” Tom Lawlor, The Von Erichs (Ross & Marshall Von Erich), Jacob Fatu, Low Ki, Salina De La Renta, Injustice (including Myron Reed), and Mance Warner. MLW is also the parent company of the leading provider of professional wrestling podcasts in the world, the MLW Radio Network.

The aforementioned Ross and Marshall Von Erich are indeed third-generation wrestlers from one of wrestling’s most famous families of all-time. Growing up in Denton County — just outside Dallas — the Von Erichs would tussle all over the family’s Texas ranch with hopes of one day wrestling in front of large crowds around the world. However, their legendary father Kevin Von Erich didn’t want his sons to grow up too fast. So much so that he hid the weights in the barn at their Denton County farm and encouraged the boys to enjoy life. In other words, wrestling would come soon enough if it was meant to be. Since November 2019, The Von Erichs have been MLW World Tag Team Championship, following an action-packed victory in Chicago on The Dynasty’s MJF and Richard Holliday.

On September 24, 2020, I had the pleasure of interviewing both Ross and Marshall Von Erich via Zoom, as embedded below. More on the duo — who explained why MLW is their chosen long-term wrestling company and its founder Court Bauer has their utmost respect during our chat — can be found via www.mlw.com, instagram.com/majorleaguewrestling and www.twitter.com/MLW.
