Paris Pays Homage to Revolutionary Artist Emory Douglas in New Video “Nobody Move”

The video is the second installment off the upcoming album Safe Space Invader out on September 25

Incendiary Bay Area rapper Paris releases today a video for “Nobody Move,” the second single off his upcoming album Safe Space Invader.

The animated clip pays homage to Emory Douglas, the graphic artist whose work became synonymous with rebellion and popular uprising in the 1960s. Douglas became the official visual artist for the Black Panther Party and the group’s Minister of Culture. He designed the Party’s newspaper and all propaganda material. Douglas is recognized as the most prolific graphic agitator of the American Black Power Movement.

In the song, Paris addresses once again the issues of police brutality and racial injustice that are still affecting the Black Community in America. He shows us that Emory Douglas’ 1960’s images are still a perfect fit for his current lyrical commentary four decades later. “Nobody Move” is a call to action and yet another reminder that change is necessary.

Safe Space Invader will be released globally Sept 25.
