Both bars are sweetened with Stevia and erythritol. GOOD GOOD’s products can currently be found in approximately 2,500 stores in 16 countries.

BistroMD

BistroMD is a meal delivery subscription service that helps gets its consumers onto a healthy dietary track. Letting its subscribers stock their freezers with healthy, chef-prepared, doctor-approved food, the meals of BistroMD are far more enjoyable than what many people may have imagined for “healthy” fare. BistroMD’s Chicken Bacon Mac & Cheese, for example, is only 310 calories and immediately fixed my cravings for pasta, dairy and meat. Easy to heat and even easier to heat, it was a sad moment in my week when I realized that I was down to my last BistroMD week. But fortunately, BistroMD is easy to order and maintain a subscription to online, and also feasible when it comes to gifting.

Red Baron Pizza

In celebration of National Pizza Month in October, pizza staple Red Baron is introducing Red Baron Pizza Melts and Red Baron Stuffed Crust Pizza. Red Baron Pizza Melts deliver a melty, bold pizza flavor sandwiched between crispy toast, while its Stuffed Crust pizza features delicious mozzarella baked right into the crust. Both easy to prepare and even easier to enjoy.

In the words of Red Baron’s Baroness on the Red Baron website: “How do I prepare a hot meal for picky eaters and still have time to enjoy it? Easy. Red Baron Pizza can quickly help get dinner on and off my plate, turning mealtime into family time. And let me tell you, after a long day of being a mama, nothing beats a great slice of pizza and a ‘glass half-full’ of wine.” Baroness praise aside, my favorite new pizza-related discover of the Fall 2020 season.

Snack Factory’s Pretzel Crisps

One of my all-time favorite snacks is Snack Factory’s Pretzel Crisps. Giving you simultaneously crunch and saltiness with other added flavors, the Pretzel Crisps keep me satisfied and not needing additional snacks. The brand just released a brand new flavor perfect for cheese lovers everywhere, and Pretzel Crisps Cheddar Cheese are baked with real cheddar cheese. Just like its other flavor counterparts, Pretzel Crisps Cheddar Cheese are great for dipping, topping or straight out of the bag enjoyment, making them perfect for any snacking occasion. Now available in 7.2-ounce bags at retailers nationwide, including Kroger.

Spirit & Co.

As launched at the virtual Specialty Food Live! 2020 trade show, Spirit & Co. reportedly produces the world’s first line of all-natural, distinctive sauces made exclusively with premium liquor. These sauces are all-natural, gluten-free, made without artificial preservatives, and do not feature any high fructose corn syrup; all of them are also vegan except the Bourbon & Smokey Bacon BBQ Sauce. On the wine end, there is indeed the Cabernet Sauvignon & Steak Sauce offering, although my favorite may be the Vodka & Italian Tomato Ketchup. One of my top food discoveries of 2020.

LLamaLand Organics Superfoods

For a great way to start the day, LLamaLand Organics offers a delicious and highly nutritious cereal loaded with organic superfoods from the heart of the Peruvian Andes and Amazon. LLamaLand Organics cereals are 100 percent organic, non-GMO, gluten-free, and have less than 3 grams of sugar per serving. Its Superfood Crunch offers a crunchy and low-sugar blend of Purple and Andean white corn, Amaranth and Cacao; Purple Corn is an ancestral Andean Superfood that contains special plant compounds that are known to have anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. In turn, this cereal will treat your pallet and give your body a boost of important minerals and vitamins.

Meanwhile, LLamaLand Organics’ fruit spreads are made with 100 percent organic superfruits from the Peruvian Andes and Amazon. These superfruits are packed with rich minerals, vitamins and other essential nutrients. Within the Lucuma Superfruit Spread, Lucuma is one of the most important Inca Superfoods (also known as “the gold of the Incas”). It is considered to be an exotic fruit for its bright yellow color and unique sweet taste with a low glycemic index. Furthermore, the spread contains high-quality minerals, such as iron, calcium and zinc, in addition to vitamin A and B3.

The Caviar Co.

The Caviar Co. is a San Francisco, California-based purveyor of fine caviar, thus opening your palate to one of the finest delicacies in the world. For those who think caviar retails for thousands of dollars, well, they might be surprised to know certain varieties of this salted roe come $10 per ounce — and that is undoubtedly cheaper than most glasses of fine wine. So whether you are new to the caviar experience or consider yourself a connoisseur, The Caviar Co. is taking its business from the restaurants and into your home hosting virtual events to enhance your luxury-oriented experience. So now it is easy to join in the fun and purchase a caviar flight for your very own at-home soiree, and/or choose from several gift boxes to give to a friend or family member for the upcoming 2020 holiday season. Delicious, high-quality and smartly-packed, on top of everything said above.

RED Chocolate

What makes RED Chocolate different from other chocolates? For starters, it offers all the guiltless indulgence of regular chocolate, but with up to 50 percent less calories and — depending on the variety — 30 to 40 percent less fat. In addition to that, all RED bars are Weight Watchers-friendly and have no added sugar (the natural sweetners are derived from plants); its dark chocolate bars are also keto-friendly. As available through Amazon, the bars feature cocoa from the Ivory Coast of Africa, whose farmers select, roast and grind the cocoa beans utilized. Zero guilt on my end when enjoying 1 or 2 of the 100-calorie bars after dinner.

Global Grub’s DIY Kits

Thanks to Global Grub, travel restrictions be damned, as you can now travel the world with food. Global Grub’s unique DIY-style kits makes cooking complex intimidating global cuisine fun and simple. Each kit includes the special shelf-stable ingredients and tools; home cooks just need to add their favorite fresh and/or basic items. I had the pleasure of trying out the DIY Mochi Ice Cream Kit. This particular kit included the materials to make 4 batches of 8 mochi pieces, different flavor combinations possible via those batches. $31.99 USD for multiple sharable desserts is absolute a bargain.

Heart Water

Heart Water — as founded by Michael and Latina entrepreneur and former Miss Texas Ylianna Dadashi — is one of the naturally purest and most sustainable sources of water on the planet, made with “heart” down to the last drop. Directly from the clouds, its water reportedly never touches the ground. Our unique process utilizes ultraviolet light technology, 7-stage purification and ozone oxidation, ensuring the naturally purest water available. Rainwater is naturally the purest, most sustainable source of water, as it is infinitely renewable. Most bottled water is just filtered tap water, polluted spring water or contaminated sources that are full of chemicals, yet Heart Water’s 2-acre collection facility can bottle 450,000 16oz bottles from just 1 inch of sustained rainfall. In turn, from its ethically-cloud-sourced rain water, to its sustainable aluminum packaging, down to our signature purple, and to its 23 percent giveback model, everything at Heart Water is done with purpose and intention.

One Stripe Chai

One Stripe Chai is a hand-crafted chai company making chai that actually tastes like chai. Featuring black tea brewed with organic spices, One Stripe Chai offers both Masala Chai concentrates, as well as blends and at-home kits. Owned and operated by women of color, the brand is based in Portland, Oregon. The best new chai I have tried in 2020.

BBQGuys Rubs

BBQGuys is an e-commerce business based in Baton Rouge, Louisiana that has offered premium outdoor living products like BBQ grills, outdoor kitchens, patio furniture, and more for the past 2 decades. The company has landed on both the Inc. 5000 list of fastest-growing businesses and the Internet Retailer 500 ranking of fastest-growing online retailers for 11 straight years, and it carries an A+ rating from the Better Business Bureau. In April 2020, the United States Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship recognized BBQGuys as the national “Small Business of the Week.”

In August 2020, it was announced that BBQGuys partnered with Spiceology to create and release its own Spiceology collection of all-purpose spice blends, perfect for the expert and novice BBQ enthusiasts alike. The collection includes 7 varietals of BBQ rubs, consisting of 3 regional BBQ flavors, 3 flavors dedicated to popular proteins and a limited-edition blend. Each blend comes in a 16-oz bottle with 2 flip-top sides — 1 with three holes, and the other with a single hole. The complete 7-pack is available for $109.99, while individual rubs can be purchased for $16.99 each.

Brine Brothers

Brine Brothers was founded by long time friends Harris Derner and Michael Belicose. After spending countless nights ordering disappointing pickleback shots at bars throughout New York City, Harris and Michael pledged to themselves — and anyone listening to them talk loudly on some forgettable October night in the Lower East Side — to produce the best damn pickle brine money can buy. Through trial and error and a painstakingly iterative process, Brine Brothers exploded onto the pickle scene in 2017, catching customers and pickle incumbents by surprise. The company’s unique product flavors and commitment to preservative-free pickle juice have helped it transform into a $250,000+ business in a mere 2 years. Finances aside, relationships and partnerships with Barstool Sports, Delish.com, Jon Taffer, and NHL athlete Blake Coleman have elevated the company profile in the eyes of consumers and “the pickle media.”

Pickle juice has been a natural remedy for many health ailments for centuries — supposedly used by the likes of Cleopatra and Julius Caesar — and helping with such things as stomach pain and hydration; pickle brine has 10 times more electrolytes than sports drinks. Meanwhile, pickled cocktails are continually growing in popularity. So whether used to create the perfect cocktail, relieve an ailment or make a killer marinade for a Nashville Hot Chicken recipe, tasting is believing. Therefore one cannot deny that the Brine Brothers are at the forefront with their all-natural premium drinkable pickle brine.

Goldbelly

Beyond being called “one of the 50 best websites in America” by Time and “one of America’s best new food companies” by Fox News, Goldbelly has also received rave reviews from Departures, Good Morning America, Bloomberg, and Fast Company alike. Per its website, Goldbelly is on a on-going mission to “discover America’s most loved regional foods” and then “ship ’em to your door.” In turn, it is a hub for ordering fine steaks, seafood, pizzas, desserts, soups and gluttonous comfort food all at once. And given the still-ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, where hundreds of millions of people — if not billions of people — are still spending the majority of their days and nights indoors, Goldbelly makes it easy to sample some of America’s finest fare while at home.

Most recently from the Goldbelly list of offerings I had the opportunity to try meat from Flannery Beef. The California Reserve Filet Mignon Steaks Gift Box from the California-based butcher was every bit as excellent as you would expect. So great that I must continuously fight the urge to log onto Goldbelly.com and order more top-tier eats.

Little GF Chefs

When it comes to birthday parties and school treats — even in a socially-distanced world — no kid wants to feel left out not eating that cupcake or cookie. But that is the reality that kids diagnosed with celiac disease or other food allergies live with. Little GF Chefs is welcoming these children back into the kitchen with gluten-free, allergy-friendly baking kits. They can be purchased individually, or via an on-going subscription. They also make a great gift for someone with special dietary needs. Kits range in price from $32 to $38.50 when purchased through the Little GF Chefs website.

Good Culture Cottage Cheese

If you are looking for protein sources that are not derived from meat or eggs, cottage cheese makes for an excellent protein alternative. Specifically, the Good Culture brand’s cottage cheese — with its organic, pasture-raised, high protein, low-sugar, thick and creamy cottage cheese. Unlike other brands on the shelves, Good Culture is made with clean complete protein, which means all 9 amino acids, the building blocks of protein. Its Simply Whole Milk Classic includes 19 grams of protein within its 5.3-ounce offerings. Plus, Good Culture’s cottage cheese can be enjoyed on its own or within a recipe. As made with real and simple ingredients, no additives, and live and active cultures that are good for your gut health, you can expect Good Culture’s cottage cheese to keep you fuller, longer.

Shrewd Food Protein Puffs

Shrewd Food Protein Puffs are high in protein and low in both carbs and sugar while offering a guilt-free crunch. Each serving has more than twice the protein of an egg. Among the fun flavors of Shrewd Food snacks from the salty variety are Baked Cheddar, Brick Oven Pizza, Cookies & Cream, Nacho Cheese, Parmesan Herb Croutons, Sour Cream & Onion and Sriracha Cheddar. Per sweeter Shrewd Food offerings, there are Chocolate Protein Dippers and Chocolate Keto Dippers, as packed with 10 grams of protein all while keeping the calorie count right around 150. With no artificial colors, flavors, preservatives or corn syrup, these Shrewd Food snacks are something you can truly feel good about enjoying.

Tea Runners

Tea Runners is a growing brand that is renowned for its extraordinary tea discovery service. Every month, its members receive a curated or customized collection of 4 top quality loose leaf teas, along with tasting notes and brewing instructions. Many of the teas included in the monthly subscription boxes are award-winners from the Global Tea Championship Awards, and most of the teas sent come from award-winning companies. And surprisingly, some of the brand’s absolute favorites are just fabulous teas the team behind Tea Runners discovered along the way from hard-to-find companies around the world; they are not interested in teas manufactured by large scale producers, as often sold by popular coffee franchises and grocery stores. Some cult favorites with remarkably delectable flavors are their Majestic Earl Grey, Lemon Drop Black, Iron Goddess of Mercy and Butterfly Mango Dragon Fruit that turns blue when you steep it — an ideal holiday gift for anyone in your life that goes crazy for tea.

Regal Harvest Basmati Rice

Basmati Rice tastes like no other rice on earth, a unique rice that grows only in the foothills of the Himalayas, where it is watered by snow fed rivers and hand tendered by dedicated farmers. Flavor and texture aside, Regal’s Basmati Rice is simple to prepare with its longer, whiter grains that cook up light, fluffy and separate. Regal selects only pure traditional basmati and refuses to blend it with inferior grains, thus guaranteeing delicious, fluffy rice. Great both on its own and within a rice-ready recipe.
