The Shooting for ‘Bloodthirst,’ a Learning Opportunity and a Thrilling Experience for Kyrillos Saber

Surrounded by bloodthirsty vampires with everything in the world destroyed, there is one thing on the mind – survival. Set in a post-apocalyptic world, Bloodthirst is a movie that instills among its viewers, fright, and fear. The movie, set to be released in 2020, was shot in Nevada’s Nelson Ghost Town. Not only is the movie a classic combination of thrill, fear, and mystery, but even its shooting was full of some adrenaline-rushing experiences. Scary nights of the desert and the influx of insects led to a frightening experience even for the actors. Kyrillos Saber, who plays the role of the Vampire Queen’s follower in the movie, shared some ‘behind the scene’ secrets that prove the on-shoot thrill the film’s cast and crew lived through.

Kyrillos, along with the entire cast of ‘Bloodthirst’ traveled to Las Vegas to shoot the film. They did not know what they were stepping into, but they were all excited and fully pumped to make this movie a hit. The scenes of the film were set in the abandoned mining town, Nelson Ghost Town. The eerie streets with restored buildings, strewn with retro signs, was the perfect spot to shoot the scenes of ‘Bloodthirst.’ 

Being in the middle of nowhere during the shoot was both exciting and scary at the same time. We did love the thrill we were experiencing but deep down, we all were a bit, what do we call it, frightened,” stated Kyrillos Saber. While he did enjoy the exquisiteness of the city, the hot weather bothered him a lot. It did push him into a state of discomfort, but this was one of the many factors that made his experience exciting and fun. 

It was his first time working with Tara Reid, who played the role of Vampire Queen. This was an excellent learning opportunity for the Egyptian-American actor. He is an emerging artist in the region, and shooting for ‘Bloodthirst’ along with actors such as Tara Reid, Robert LaSardo, and Costas Mandylor was an opportunity which helped him learn a lot about the field of acting. Being featured in this movie has also convinced the 31-year-old actor of his versatility. His role in the movie added to his diverse acting portfolio.  

Kyrillos was born in Cairo and was always a passionate individual. Even when he was a kid, he showed interest in a variety of different forms of art. The fact that he is one of the few Egyptian-Americans to be in the American entertainment industry is proof that Kyrillos’s desire to make it big on the screen was unmatchable. The eagerness to establish a successful career has helped led land some amazing opportunities. While he was shooting for Michael Su’s Bloodthirst, he was cast for a single scene in the film, “Death Count.” Even though it was a single scene, it did add weightage to his acting portfolio. 

Besides ‘Death Count’ and ‘Bloodthirst,’ Kyrillos was cast in a number of other projects that helped him acquire a prominent standing in the American film industry. Some of these projects include ‘The Haunted Couple,’ ‘Necrophilia 1,’ ‘Nest of Vampires,’ ‘Todd,’ ‘Survival of the Apocalypse,’ ‘The Haunting,’ ‘End Survival,’ and ‘Die Die Delta Pi,’

Started his career from the grounds of the Egyptian Film Industry at the age of 20, Kyrillos has proved to the world, time and time again, that he has the potential to make it big in Hollywood, one of the biggest film industries in the world. The passion to pursue a career in the entertainment industry was brewing in his heart even when he was a kid. Performing in family gatherings ignited his desire to become a successful actor. The fact that he was just 14 years old when he was offered a role in “St. Bishoy.” Kyrillos own a versatile personality. His versatile personality, combined with a knack for making it big in the world of entertainment, has established Kyrillos as a successful actor and an emerging singer and songwriter, scriptwriter, music director, and producer. He also has a music production company, “Kyrillos Saber World,’ through which he has recently released his album, “Panic.” With the release of Bloodtrhirst in 2021, Kyrillos will take his identity as an actor to a new level.
