30 New-Ish Healthy, Fun And/Or Delicious Food & Drink Discoveries Worth Ordering Online Today

With everything happening in the world, there is still a lot of uncertainty going around. But everyone needs to eat, and there is no shortage of exciting food and drink offerings to order online. If you are searching for new food discoveries, you’ve come to the right place as I have been monitoring the latest and greatest from online retailers. Here are 30 recommendations available for ordering today.

Veestro

With all the grocery stores running out of food, why not try ordering some pre-cooked meals straight to your doorstep while you are stuck at home? Veestro is a meal delivery service that makes it easy to get more plant-based foods into your diet without sacrificing taste or convenience. No chopping, no cooking and no cleanup needed — simply heat up in an oven or microwave.

Veestro’s meals are delicious, organic and healthy, and its meals are 100 percent plant-based with fresh ingredients. Choose from different flexible meal plans and dietary preferences including gluten-free offering. The meals are prepared fresh yet shipped frozen which allows you to eat them within 8 to 10 weeks. The Thai Chick’n Stew and Country Fried Chick’n were my favorites.

Spirit & Co.

As launched at the virtual Specialty Food Live! 2020 trade show, Spirit & Co. reportedly produces the world’s first line of all-natural, distinctive sauces made exclusively with premium liquor. These sauces are all-natural, gluten-free, made without artificial preservatives, and do not feature any high fructose corn syrup; all of them are also vegan except the Bourbon & Smokey Bacon BBQ Sauce. On the wine end, there is indeed the Cabernet Sauvignon & Steak Sauce offering, although my favorite may be the Vodka & Italian Tomato Ketchup. One of my top food discoveries of 2020 — and still a “must have” for me in 2021.

Uncle Matt’s Organic Juice

Uncle Matt’s Organic is reportedly the nation’s #1-selling brand of organic orange juice, and now its organic juices and functional beverages are available via the brand’s new e-commerce site. Currently, shipping is available to most of the East Coast, with plans to expand nationwide. The online store brings organic orange juice, lemonade and functional beverage bundles directly to consumers’ doors in 1 to 2 days via FedEx. The launch of the e-commerce site complements Uncle Matt’s Organic’s expansive retail presence nationwide, and the products can now be found in top retail locations nationwide including shelves at Whole Foods, Kroger, Target, Publix, Wegmans, Harris Teeter and Ingles.

KÖE Kombucha

KÖE is reportedly the only kombucha that is fruit-forward, USA Organic and full of probiotics. This canned beverage also happens to be vegan, gluten-free, kosher-certified, and free of artificial ingredients. In turn, it is nutritious and delicious. Flavor offerings include Raspberry Dragonfruit, Strawberry Lemonade, Mango, Blueberry Ginger and Lemon Lime.

Blue Point Brewing

So from now through February 28th, you can enter for FREE to be 1 of 4 winners to win a 2-night, once-in-a lifetime vacation experience for you and a plus 1 provided by Blue Point Brewing. In addition to the 4 grand prize winners, there will 30 additional 2nd and 3rd place winners chosen.

Also of note from Blue Point, last year Blue Point has unveiled its first “beyond beer” alternative via its Long Island Iced Teas, or LIITs. With said LIITs, you can expect a crushable trio of hard sparkling teas made with clean, natural ingredients. As launched in late June, these LIITS are available in Mango, Lemon and Raspberry Lime, all blending natural flavors with 100 percent real tea to create a fresh take on hard tea. Each can contains 5 grams of sugar, 120 calories and is naturally gluten-free.

Available to ship directly to drinkers nationwide, each offering is a curated package including 3 specialty ciders from the Orchard, a letter from Head Cider Maker Ryan Burk, detailed tasting notes and stories behind each offering, recommended food and cider pairings, and custom recipes from renowned chefs. In addition to Angry Orchard’s new Cider Club, Angry Orchard also launched 2 new fruit ciders: Peach Mango and Strawberry. Crafted with real fruit and dripping with real sweetness, both flavors are incredibly juicy with a 5 percent ABV. Both varieties are available in 6-pack cans and bottles.

Each serving of the new snack includes 100 percent real mozzarella cheese and a whole grain rich coating 25 percent that provides of your needed daily calcium intake. The new Mickey Mouse & Friends Mozzarella Shapes marked the second collaboration between Disney and Farm Rich as the previous year, during the release of Disney and Pixar’s Toy Story 4, Farm Rich featured Toy Story 4 Mozzarella Shapes with characters from the classic film.

Also great from Farm Rich are its Mozzarella Sticks, Pomegranate Glazed Meatballs and Mozzarella Bites; recipes related to these products can be found on the Farm Rich website. All products are baked in small batches by artisanal bakers using quality ingredients and have a 6 to 12-month shelf life. Little GF Chefs

When it comes to birthday parties and school treats — even in a socially-distanced world — no kid wants to feel left out not eating that cupcake or cookie. But that is the reality that kids diagnosed with celiac disease or other food allergies live with. Little GF Chefs is welcoming these children back into the kitchen with gluten-free, allergy-friendly baking kits. They can be purchased individually, or via an on-going subscription. They also make a great gift for someone with special dietary needs. Kits range in price from $32 to $38.50 when purchased through the Little GF Chefs website. Its pizza kit is especially recommended.

Milkadamia’s New Chai Creamer

I first learned about Milkadamia because of its acclaimed dairy-free milk and creamer alternatives, which are cholesterol-free, calcium-heavy, soy-free, gluten-free and an excellent source of vitamins D and B12. New from Milkadamia is its plant-based, 100 percent palm-oil-free creamy buttery spread. This revolutionary non-dairy buttery spread replicates butter’s delicious creamy taste and texture while also allowing consumers to enjoy the taste of butter without the damaging effects on animals, the planet, the soil, and rainforest lands. The latest offering from Milkadamia is its Chai Creamer, which is made with macadamia nuts and carries only 15 calories per serving.

Barebells’ Chocolate Dough Bar

Barebells Functional Foods was launched in Sweden in 2016 to offer products high-in-protein that never compromise on flavor. Since the launch, the functional food brand has revolutionized the industry with its best-selling protein bars delivering 20 grams of protein and no added sugar. Its new Chocolate Dough bars are filled with mouthwatering chocolate dough, covered in creamy milk chocolate, and coated in chocolate crisps. A real tribute to chocolate without the guilt, the Chocolate Dough bars are free from palm oil. Ideal to fuel a workout and/or satisfy the tastebuds as a dessert alternative.

Heineken 0.0

Late last year, I covered Heineken’s “Bestie Gift Ever” campaign, which included participation from Awkwafina. Since then I have had the pleasure of trying Heineken 0.0., an excellent alcohol-alternative which was especially suitable for Dry January. Heineken Light remains my general go-to from the brand, however.

Sky Valley Foods

Sky Valley Foods creates high-quality, organic, nutritious and simply-delicious salad dressings and specialty sauces — including condiments, marinades and pasta sauces — for the natural and organic foods consumer under its Sky Valley and Organicville brands. Available at independent stores, natural food chains and retail grocery stores alike, there truly is something for everyone within the Sky Valley Foods product collection.

It is very hard to choose a favorite from what I tried from the Sky Valley and Organicville brands, to say the least. Sky Valley’s Tikka Masala Sauce is plant-based, gluten-free and only 90 calories per recommended serving. Organicville’s Pizza Sauce includes no added sugar, while Non-GMO, Whole 30 Approved, certified paleo and only 30 calories per recommended serving. Sriracha, teriyaki, sambal oelek… it’s all there within the Sky Valley fold!

In our 20’s, our body’s natural collagen production begins to decline, leading to many of the unwanted complications of aging, but replenishing collagen keeps us youthful. However, Reneva makes it both convenient and delicious to get your daily dose of the power of collagen, whether at home or on-the-go. Reneva canned collagen protein drinks offer 10 grams collagen peptides, antioxidants, electrolytes, and zero sugar or carbohydrates for you to enjoy anytime of the day. Carrying no artificial flavors, colors or sweeteners, Reneva is available in 3 refreshing flavors: Green Apple, Strawberry Lemon and Passionfruit Orange & Pineapple.

Developed by entrepreneur David Stroud, Pivot Coldbrew features locally-roasted beans and “cognitive enhancers”; the latter designed to heighten performance and mental stamina, minimize jitters, eliminate the caffeine crash all without changing the flavor. Stroud had sought to create a delicious medium-roasted grab-and-go coffee with Galanga, Reishi, Ergothioneine and Theanine, a delicious blend of herbs and superfoods that work in perfect harmony to nourish the body and mind for optimal performance. In turn, this “chillbrew” is ideal for the athlete, gamer, student or grinder who needs an all-natural Cognitive Enhancer to better their strenuous daily routine.

They also offer 20 grams of fiber per serving.

Mekhala Living

Creating healthy and delicious Asian-inspired meals just got easier and tastier, thanks to Mekhala Living, the popular line of organic, all-natural, gluten and nut-free and vegan-friendly pastes. Now available nationally at hundreds of Whole Foods Market stores, Mekhala was born from a passion to provide additive and preservative-free pastes that don’t compromise on taste, Mekhala’s pastes are interestingly made from ingredients sourced from local farms around the company’s facility in Chiang Mai, Thailand.

The wholesome, natural living company highlights clean ingredients and authentic flavors. In turn, there is no reason to sacrifice convenience or taste for your health. Chickapea Pasta is truly a healthy meal that can be made in minutes, offering protein and fiber in one. Yet Chickapea Pasta does not taste like a gluten-free or vegan pasta. All Chickapea products are gluten-free, vegan, organic, kosher and come packed with 27 grams of protein and 13 grams of fiber per serving. There are no added sugars, salt or ingredients you can’t pronounce plus. You have the option of Spirals, Shells or Penne; a Chickapea Mac and Cheese made with clean, organic cheese sauce is also an option.

A 12-pack of CELSIUS generally runs in the $20 to $30 price range.

Freshly Baked from GourmetGiftBaskets.com

Last year GourmetGiftBaskets.com was honored as a top food site by Newsweek, and after trying out a few of its products, I understand why that is. The “Eat, Drink & Be Scary Beer Bucket,” priced at $69.99, includes 6 great beers, handcrafted Kettle popcorn, peanut butter cups and Halloween Junior Mints in a Halloween-themed pail. The “Goblins Grub Popcorn Tin” features 2 gallons of salty-sweet goodness, and the “White Chocole Candy Corn” popcorn is extremely addictive. Both tins arrived fast and had weeks — or days, as I tend to overconsume snacks — of goodness within them.

Most recently I tried out a “Baked Goods Premium Gift Basket”from GourmetGiftBaskets.com, as presented in a Valentine’s Day-friendly heart. You can expect 4 classic Whoopie Pies, 4 2-packs of Chocolate Chip Cookies, 4 Chocolate Chunk Brownies and 4 Fudge Walnut Brownies. All baked goods in this gift crate are Kosher OU-D certified.

C4 Smart Energy

Cellucor’s C4 Energy is reportedly the best-selling pre-workout brand in the nation, with over 3 billion servings sold since its launch in 2011; additionally, C4 is also said to be the fastest-growing energy drink on the market. C4 Smart Energy is proudly made with natural flavors, no artificial colors or dyes, and contains zero calories, sugar or carbs. Among the excellent flavors available from C4 Energy are Sour Batch Bros, Midnight Cherry, Purple Frost, Frozen Bombsicle, Tropical Blast, Cotton Candy, Orange Slice, Strawberry Watermelon Ice, Twisted Limeade and Cherry Limeade.

BeatBox Beverages

As seen on Shark Tank, BeatBox Beverages makes an acclaimed wine-based ready-to-drink beverage. Reportedly the fastest-growing single-serve wine brand, BeatBox’s drinks have been dubbed “The Tastiest Portable Party Punch.” At 11.1 percent ABV per punch, it is best to enjoy 1 BeatBox tetrapak at a time. The brand’s excellent flavor offerings include Tropical Punch, Fruit Punch and Fresh Watermelon.

‘Merican Mule’s Fire Mule

‘Merican Mule recently launched its hottest seasonal can, the Fire Mule. Made with Bourbon whiskey, proprietary ginger beer and all-natural cinnamon, the Fire Mule is smooth and bold, with notes of sweet cinnamon and a hint of spicy heat. A well-balanced canned cocktail with a kick, Fire Mule is best enjoyed cold and straight from the copper can (or a copper mug for the full Mule experience). It is malt-free and features no artificial flavorings, unlike most other hard seltzers.

Presently ‘Merican Mule is running a promotion through its website, where a new opt-in to the ‘Merican Mule newsletter will enter the user for a chance to win a custom Yeti Colster. Swag aside, everything I have tried from this brand is excellent. My favorite is the Tropical Style can, which features a great mix of Rum, Ginger and Pineapple for its flavoring, carrying a 7 percent ABV content.

Zuzu

Zuzu is a new female-founded bottled sparkling cocktail brand, and its cocktails are made simply with pure agave spirit, fresh citrus, a touch of agave syrup and sea salt. Founded by 2veterans of the local and sustainable food world, Greta Caruso and Ali Schmidt, Zuzu prioritizes ingredient transparency and sustainable-sourcing. Its unique use of 100 percent agave spirit sourced directly from a family farm in Jalisco, Mexico, and its minimal list of whole ingredients with zero “natural” flavors, synthetic sweeteners, or preservatives. The cocktail brand launched first in New York City, before expanding throughout the U.S. in coming months.

Zuzu is currently available in 2 flavors: Calamansi Lime (made with agave spirit, sparkling water, a dash of organic agave syrup, a pinch of sea salt and calamansi lime juice sourced from family-owned company Sun Tropics) and Passion Fruit (which in addition to the above ingredients, adds passion fruit puree sourced directly from farmers in Ecuador who have an eye toward natural pest management and ethical labor practices). That nutrient-rich soil from Italy is essential to Koita’s incredibly delicious set of plant-based milks. On top of all that, all of these milks from Koita are non-dairy, vegan, non-GMO and free of carrageenan.

Volley

National Tequila Day 2021 may be half a year away, but that should not keep you from celebrating — virtually or not — with your favorite agave-based spirit. Volley is a new tequila-based seltzer made with just three clean ingredients: 100 percent blue agave tequila (from the Highlands of Jalisco, Mexico), sparkling water, and organic juice. Reportedly the first “clean” tequila seltzer on the market, Volley includes zero commonly-used fake sugars, natural flavorings, essences or corn syrup. Available in 4 guilt-free flavors: Zesty Lime, Spicy Ginger, Sharp Grapefruit and Tropical Mango, Volley’s gluten-free seltzers are best enjoyed chilled and can be enjoyed from the can or mixed into a fun and fruity beachside tequila cocktail. Quality produce aside, Volley plans on hosting beach clean-ups and outdoor educational events this summer in partnership with Leave No Trace, a non-profit that provides resources so every person can protect and enjoy our natural world.

Sweet Chaos Popcorn

Last but definitely not least… Delightfully-disruptive and incredibly-tasty, Sweet Chaos is now offering 7 bold popcorn flavors to tempt your taste buds/ From sweet to savory, Sweet Chaos has a gluten-free choice for everyone to snack on and enjoy. Sweet Chaos hand-pops its non-GMO kernels in coconut oil for a creamy richness while skipping the nasty, artificial stuff. In turn, this is one snack that will add a little sweet to the chaos, and its exciting flavor offerings include Honey Chipotle, Chaos Mix, Movie Theater Butter, Sea Salt, Jalapeno Blue Cheese, Kettle Corn and White Cheddar. My favorite is the White Cheddar, although that was far from an easy decision to make.
