0New York Society Library Appoints Dwayne Ashley to The Prestigious Board of Trustees
Dwayne Ashley, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Bridge Philanthropic Consulting (BPC) is proud to announce his appointment to the historic New York Society Library’s Board of Trustees.
Ashley joins the ranks of an impressive list of trustees including; actor and monologist Ruth Draper, along with writers Washington Irving, Stephen Vincent Benet, Louis Auchincloss, Walter Lord, Shirley Hazzard, Barbara Tuchman. On the current board, are well-known authors Robert Caro and Gretchen Rubin.
BPC is a New York based philanthropic and social justice firm, founded by Dwayne Ashley who has led the company to raise over $800 million for his past employers and impressive client roster which includes, Jazz at Lincoln Center, Thurgood Marshall College Fund, United Negro College Fund, 100 Black Men of America, Louis Armstrong Foundation, Usher’s New Look, Steve Harvey Foundation, Madonna, United Way of Texas Gulf Coast, Friends of Harlem Hospital, Mt. Carol Collins Malone recently welcomed Dwayne Ashley to the Board of Trustees of The New York Society Library saying, “The New York Society Library, founded in 1754, is delighted to welcome Dwayne Ashley to The Board of Trustees. Dwayne’s longstanding fundraising experience and vibrant personality will enhance the organization’s ability to serve its members and the community.”
The Board of Trustees sets policy and focuses on long-range and strategic planning. Individual trustees actively support and promote the Library’s mission, vision, strategic goals and policy positions. The Library, New York City’s oldest, is a thriving community of readers, writers, and families. Membership, including borrowing privileges and the use of The Library’s study spaces, is open to all by subscription.
